His distribution has been excellent, cool as a cucumber and intelligent use of the ball.

    This.

If the first half he played the ball over Hayes’ head and the next time he got the ball he passed the ball right to Hayes in the same position.

Was as if he wanted to prove the first yin was just a blip :giggle1:

Could play him in midfield with that passing.

No panic and no dramas, his calmness has a ripple effect right through the defence and midfield.

He's forcing the defence to have better first touches and be confident playing from the back..

His play is making the team play better and themselves individually..

He's bred confidence and was actually really good watching us work it out from the back in triangles and no forcing it up aimlessly..

If he does well against Valencia he'll cement his place as first choice GK

Not a criticism of Bain, but i think at times we invited pressure on ourselves by playing too much in and around our penalty box, the passing we very good but always a chance we can get caught out.

I think he’s done that already mate, regardless.

He suits our style so much more than Gordon.

Might as well be the case. Still would love him to make a name for himself on a big European night. Would be another shot of confidence for him.

Thought it a bit weird Gordon never got the cup game. Now looks as if Rodgers was gradually bringing Bain in to be his number one. Maybe making sure the same mistake with DDV didn't happen again.

He's a very important reason why we're in such good form. Calm as *, love that.
His kicking is way beyond the level Gordon will ever achieve.
He will get caught out with a pass at some stage, law of averages for the style we play. May cost a goal may not, it will be interesting to see his and the teams reaction to it. He's been so calm to date I suspect he'll carry on as is and won't let it bother him, just as long it's not at a crucial game/time. Really impressed with him.

Like him as our No.1 now.

Craig Gordened once or twice over full backs head today but that’s the first time I’ve seen him do it this year.

There’s no coincidence whatsoever that we’re keeping clean sheets and building play quicker and better from back to front with him in goal.

Only issue I’ve got is why it took so long for the change to happen.

Actually noticed today he was trying not to handle the ball at all. Must be an order from BR to use the feet more. Another one of the outsiders who have taken their chance and by a random chain reaction of events this team has come into place. And it has turned out to be one of the best footballing sides at CP in a few years. The energy, passing, possession and excitement has been a real buzz since start of January. Introduction of the three new Bhoys have provided us with goals galore and clean sheets.
