If he has some niggles and needs a rest anyone else think it may be worth writing off this season for him? We can win league without him it's just Valencia games we really need him.

Saying that if it was really bad then surely we would brought in another LB. Just don't want us ruining the boy at such a young age

Is he in full training or just out on the pitch?

Tierney has now trained, but not with his team-mates as he battles back to fitness.

Davies said: “He’s outside, but he is still in the rehabilitation phase. He’s with the physio and medical team. He’s not training with the group.

“It’s going to take time for him to really build up to team training and eventually availability for games.

"He is still a few weeks off at least before training with the group.”

I don’t care if it takes months for him to get himself back to normal. Whatever it takes so he’s not continually breaking down as he moves forward in his career.

Worst possible thing we could do just now is rush him into anything.

    Izzy was well, Izzy..

Good going forward but a liability in his defensive duties, committed about 6 fouls in row in the 1st half..

Was talking about this earlier to my brother. Talking about him ripping Swanson to shreds in the box one minute and then 30 seconds later the ball is going down our left hand side and he was nowhere in shot, numerous time's :56:

He's extremely poor defensively and part of the reason he commits so many fouls is because he knows he's got zero pace..

I wouldn't particularly fancy him but a club in our position has to get lucky when it comes to back up full backs. Nobody who is 'obviously' a better option than Izzy will want to sign for us knowing KT is guaranteed to start ahead of him when fit.

We may give Gutman 15 mins here or there to see if he is up to much. Guy's 22.

Would better back up be happy to sit on the bench when KT is fit?

Also, how much would better back up cost in fees and wages? Yes it seems worth it just now when KT is injured, we're not running away with the league and we've got a big European game coming up but what about when he's playing 60 games a season?

We’ve overplayed KT and taken advantage of his natural enthusiasm to play for his boyhood club..

Having a viable quality replacement in every position is essential if you aspire to be a top club, the full back positions are no different. Especially as we play over 60 games.

For me this is the wrong attitude.. ‘a club in our position’ should absolutely have quality options in every position. And just because KT is so good, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try and recruit an adequate replacement who can share the burden of games you need to play as a Celtic player.

KT is the future Captain signing someone to help him, will do exactly that and it won’t diminish his role at the club. In fact not adding quality and forcing him to play too many games will have the opposite effect, as he’ll pick up too many injuries.

Playing McGregor LB at Ibrox, talking up Hayes as an option in that position and possibly fielding Izzy who can’t defend v Valencia.. should be testament to our failure to get an adequate replacement in..

It's a bit of a * alright but nobody will want to sign for us knowing full well there is 0 chance they will ever be first choice.

There's the problem... Our board don't seem to want to "aspire to be a top club" imo they are aspiring to be a mediocre club who will qualify for CL group stages if we get a decent draw.
