    Better player than Armstrong, the speed of his feet to score the goal was class....plus he defends well..hes got the lot in his locker

    He has more energy and fight, but Armstrong is better technically. Christie's passing and touch can leave him down on occasion.

    Christie is absolute streets ahead of Armstrong technically for me. Not even the slightest bit of competion. Armstrong’s biggest weakness that.

    Technically? Christie is way ahead of him in that regard as well, you see that in Europe, Armstrong was an absolute passenger in most european games where as Christie gets stuck in and has the ability to back it up.

    Armstrong had a great engine, a fine footballing brain and a wicked shot on him but his touch was absolutely * at times. Looked awkward on the ball and had erratic passing.

    Christie is miles ahead of him technically

    I don't know, I find him terribly frustrating at times because of it. The ball often seems to bounce off him. It mightn't always be technique, sometimes it might be concentration, but is certainly an area he needs to work on.

    Christie's too. That and sloppy passing, something Armstrong was also prone too. I was never sure about Armstrong in Europe and am less sure about Christie.

    Maybe Christie is a victim of being the present, you may be correct. I still don't think his first touch is good enough for Europe.

    Canny remember who said it but someone in here summed it up when they said Armstrong’s second touch is him trying to bring the ball down on his chest because of how bad is first touch is :56:
