Surely we can do better than McKenna ?

 

I was a bit pessimistic when we were in for him the previous window but i think he’s improved. He’s looked decent any time I’ve seen him. Could all come down to price though.

Ether way, I wouldn't mind. Hendry is not good enough for us.

 

He's a unit and by the sounds of it people aren't too keen on Hendry. I guess it depends on what wages we've got Hendry on. I think he maybe needs the Aberdeen experience and McKenna might be more ready for the Celtic experience.
I think though Hendry on a year long loan at Aberdeen all paid for by Celtic would be safer in terms of not being stung again if we wanted him back and we get the anti-Celtic PR *. "They'll need to up their bid etc." So a year's loan i think possibly Hendry fills out at a good club, brilliant at developing young players.

 

After some of our signings at CB this is an improvement. He has got better this season, but is he Celtic quality for a run in Europe? We wont know until we give him a chance. Not a fan of him going on last season form when we were first linked with him but he has got to be better than another unknown development player from another club ? We need consistency at CB not having to look for players every transfer window. We need players to develop an understanding of each other, we have KT,Forest, Mcgregor, Christie, throw in McKenna and we have half the Scotland team there. We have tried Hendry and Ayer so McKenna would be an improvement on those 2. Boyata inconsistent and needs punted for his attitude, McKenna would bring a bit of stability my only problem with him is he comfortable on the ball to keep playing the passing game from the back that Brendan loves and encourages? £4m seems a lot but maybe £2m of that is to take Hendry off our hands !!!

 

Wake me up in February when this is all over.
Honest to * if our main singings is an 18 year old loan, some guy from Slovakia from a team we've never heard of (let alone the player), and Scott * McKenna, then * MD we are a poor side.
Screaming out for established, experienced, good centre backs, McKenna isn't any of that.
Desperate for a goalkeeper who can instil confidence, we don't even seek to look for one.
Need a box to box midfielder with strength, again, let's not think about that.
Need a proven striker, we chase 18 year old loan and bayou (no offence at all to him, but that's still a gamble too much for the situation we are in).
Absolutely none of our targets are low risk.

Did wonders for Christie I'd give him on loan for 18 months.. Means they have temp for outgoing mckenna and gives them time for a perm replacement
