A bit harsh to say he deserves to be surrounded by Australians...

I think it's more down to our offer that he has a deccission to make now , I think he has 1 -2 years left in the role he plays ,I think we have gave him our best age related offer ,which wont be an increase and wont be upped ,there could also be playing clauses so this may be the crux , still feel he has a wee bit unfinished here ,but it looks like were sticking and he isnt blown away by the offer .

SCOTT BROWN has REJECTED Western Melbourne’s opening offer to lure him to Australia.

Now the newly-formed A-League club will try to piece together an improved contract in a bid to get the veteran Celtic skipper to agree to move Down Under.

Former Scotland star Broony, 33, is weighing up his future after more than a decade at Parkhead.

His current Hoops contract runs out this summer and he had been told he would be offered a new two-year deal to stay.

However SunSport can reveal a one-year extension was formally offered ahead of last week’s 1-0 derby defeat to Rangers at Ibrox.

There’s also the promise of a coaching role when Brown eventually hangs up his boots, with manager Brendan Rodgers and club chiefs keen to keep him.

There’s still every chance that’s what will happen, with Brown reluctant to uproot his young family.

But he fears becoming a bit-part player with Celts and is eager to at least explore other possibilities.

He is likely to bide his time until the end of the month before making any announcement.

Melbourne want to make him their marquee signing ahead of their first season in the Aussie top flight, which kicks off in October.

They have tabled an initial two-year contract with the option of a third year, depending on appearances.

But the figures they have come up with will not be good enough to get Brown to move his family to the other side of the world.

He is on a family holiday in Dubai ahead of Celtic’s winter training camp there, which begins on Monday.

Melbourne chiefs could fly to the Middle East over the next week for a face-to-face discussion with Brown.

MLS teams in the US are also monitoring the situation, with Minnesota United and Sporting Kansas City keen.

Seen on Twitter he has rejected moving to Oz. The Sun reporting it though so take it with a pinch of salt.

Broony wants a 3 year deal celtic only offering the legend 2 years.* scummy * tory board thats all they * are. Do * all about sevco cheating resolution 12 morelos biased refs * up transfer windows etc. But the problem is we fans * take the shafting.i am a moderate average fan but this is making me into the most ultra fan imaginable.we need to tell the board that we the fans own and pay them.they are public servants nothing more but we dont care enough politically when it comes to board matters.1 boycott of a home game and the tory * would soon get the message but our fans are all fractured and divided we fall.and thus beaton * hasnt been addressed.deadco would have a statement asap.we should boycott cup games and that would sort out the sfa *.in reality the game is a bogey and if we could get the * out of this league to anywhere else id take it in a hearbeat.the rep of ireland league.all we would have to do was pay the teams. Flights over to paradise which is buttons. This * league is only aimed to help the huns.rant over but time fir actions not * words.HH.

I think part of his problem this season is has been that he doesn’t know whats going to happen at the end of the season, sooner we get him signed on a new contract the better.

He also has to realise he can’t play every game now and McGregor plays so much better in the middle than him. Of course we still need him for europe and big games just need to make sure his mind is in the right place.
