This. Sammy had moments of sheer brilliance and could be a match winner but for the most part he treaded water and on a fair amount of occasions also didn’t resemble a footballer at all.

Literally the only comparison is they’re both powerful runners from deep positions.

His goal was absolutely superb. I have watched repeatedly and I didn’t even see him look up to see where Lewis was. It was just pure awareness and brilliance.

    Superb from him.

Wish he just kept moving as he is so good at it, this 50 touches * needs to get kicked out of him, somebody stuck a great ball through to him and he wanted to try and dribble back out box for probably a curler. After that it was nice, oh so nice.

When he played well but, he was unstoppable. Eddy has the same kind of almost unbelievable spells of form where he just does what he wants.

Just goes to show, after being relied upon for much of the season as 'the' guy has taken it's toll, that a wee break, Mikey Johnson picking up the slack in the last couple of weeke then today's sterling cameo off the bench, with 2 assists and a goal, underlines this bhoy is quality, there is no question, but he is still a young guy, that does need to be managed correctly, given a break from time to time, to not just feel as though as if there is no other options, that all he has to do is show up and expect to start.

Eddy deserves all the credit for his performance today, but it also underlines some shrewd man management from BR as well as the need for at least one new striker, which hopefully Timothy Weah is there to fill that gap in the squad.

Samaras comparisons are lunacy. We are talking about a 20 year old boy operating on a different level.

Sammy was a cult hero and could have his great moments but Edouard will be a proper player.

Had to see the replay for his goal to see what he did composed finish and his pass to Forrest that set up Sinclair was what had been missing from our game today

I’m in the Samaras was * club and always was.

That fukin penalty at Ibrox summed him up ....couldn’t seal a cardboard box.

Jury still out in big Ed for me but he shone today.

Apart from the dribbling nonsense when he should have shot for goal instead of doing a Ricky Villa and falling over the ball.

Could see him doing great as a false 9 it will open up and give him the space he seems to love.

Consider playing sinclair as the striker and eduard coming in from left

So much class, there’s literally no other CF in the league who could have finished like that..

20% hot. Too much gum bumping about our lad last couple of weeks. Too quick to judge when a player has a sticky spell. And some of the best players in the world go through it. Pogba isn’t * because Mourinho couldn’t utilise him in the right way.
