    * as in - he’s the only good defender in the central positions we have that’s OURS
    Benkovic isn’t ours
We have a shower of * behind them in the pecking order

Can't see sevco causing a Lustig--Benkovic--Boyata--Tierney backline a single problem.

I still think he is replaceable. The fact is hendry and simunovic are both *. Lustig also started the season badly but perked up and recently out again.

Hebert Hendry, the * version of Benkovic and Lustig are all complete duds and should all three play in a game it’s like playing with only 8 players

I’d argue playing with only 7 if Sinclair starts, as he’s just toilet

6.5 if you want My feelings on Gordon hahaha

You don't do your argument any good by lumping Lustig in with Hendry and Simunovic et al. Just makes you look like you don't have a clue about anything.

Is Lustig the player he was? No. Should we be looking to upgrade the RB position? Definitely. Is he the weakest link when everyone is fit? Maybe (it's between him and Gordon). Is he utter *? Absolutely not.

Lustig is not *. Motherwell a couple weeks ago, Thursday night and most lately Sunday show that’s not the case.

Despite him not being what he once was, he’s still an important player for us.

Sorry but Lustig is still good. Over the past 2 months he has been really good.
Just because more people think it does not mean it is correct.

I was saying he was finished earlier in the season but he’s proved me wrong again, he stepped up his game as soon as he got the armband with Broony injured and has played his best football for a long time.

Yeh defo ,I'm hating this trend where we are so quick to retire or scrap players over the course of a few bad games , lustig just played a world cup and done pretty well ,am sure br will know when he cant make the starting 11 .
Now we have the broony saga that he's finished again ,that happened 3 yrs ago and since has been our best player , so he is blamed for our struggle to get goals earlier before injury .
The reason we got goals in his absence was down to many things ,none relating to his abilities or lack of ,and is still good for 2years yet .

    Let me elaborate

Against any winger or attacker of note, Lustig is putty in their hands

He’s very boring to watch - just passes it back all the time or side to side

    He’s not mobile enough

    His positioning isn’t good

How he got captain over KT is anyone’s guess

This isn't the Lustig thread, but what I will say if we're satisfied a club like Hibs can target one of our players and milk it for all it's worth, we seriously need to reassess our standing in the world of football.

Which brings us back to the conundrum that is Boyata. Not sure if I want him on a new deal or not, but Christ am I glad he's coming back soon.

Lustig is vice captain because his a highly influential member of the squad, a leader, loves Celtic and obviously the other players look up to him.

I get the feeling you don’t really watch much of our games but just take peoples opinions off forums and twist them for your own.

Well don’t trust your feelings then.
TalkCeltic is the only forum I am signed up to, because it’s the best. I watch every single game either in glorious streamed HD, * streams or wii my eyes. On the 29th December I’ll be watching with my eyes in a Celtic bar in the barrowlands back in my old stomping ground roaring on the bhoys against Gerrard’s pretenders

I’m die in the wool lifted over the turnstiles at 3 years old by my my Dad (RIP) v Hearts at Paradise with the old jungle.

Don’t f*^#ing try and call my love of Celtic out because you support passengers still getting a game no questions asked as our ship has been sinking of late, defensively. Hold your tongue.

Boyata and KT are the only ones I trust defensively.
KT is the only one I trust implicitly.
