Celtic have a young American right back called Manny Perez on trial. Lots of links including this mornings newspapers. He has posted pics in Celtic training gear and has apparently been training with the team.

Fingers crossed he’s a good one, been upgrading our youth ranks really well with boys from Arsenal, Australia and now America.

Signals the end for Ralston here, with Gamboa likely going soon as well. Wouldn’t be surprised if we sign another young right back as well as this lad if he impresses.

 

It's shame but I think your right about Ralston. His development seems to have stalled. Then again, Christie suddenly went up a gear.

He didn’t do much at dundee united and barely even been on the bench this season, some players just make the step up.

 

I think he bulked up at the wrong time honestly should have just concentrated on the technical side first now he looks too stiff moving down the right side

Reminds me of Broadfoot at killie was at Rangers , just a big strong boy no ability.

 

Would love to see him get game time again ,must have regressed in some way ,maybe fitness or carrying weight ,br was definitely promoting him first year ,after injury and loan ,nothing .
Cant stress enough the difference it makes to have academy players break through and hold their own ,they tend to stay longer and help to settle the team, maybe he was expected to make an impact and difference to dutd and it didn't happen ,and so the thought maybe is if you can't stand out in a poor team your not good enough ,hope it's not the case .

 

Saw him a couple of times for United. Stood out a mile as their best player. Don't rate Gamboa so would love to see him make it here.

Can't mind where I saw it but some young striker from the State's us and Frankfurt are keen on..

Hasn't been offered a new contract 'yet' by his club..

Good to see us trying to dip in to that market anyway ad loads of quality playing in the state's now..

 

Yeh thats true ,he had a decent game ,no any worse than anyone else , play a couple after and got injured ,has fell away .
Feel he has good attributes,strength,aggression and not the slowest,maybe br is trying to build him up again before introducing him to see were he is at .
