Spot on. He's slowing down with age and that area of the pitch is vital to us for starting off attacks and raising the tempo of the game against teams who are sitting in.

Even those who said it would be a battle last night therefore Brown should start, I never seen Brown having to rush into tackles etc. At the end of the day skill beats everything and McGregor is far more skilful than Brown.

Great servant and still has a part to play but should be from the bench.

Lots of talk regarding Scott being done as first pick.

I’ve never heard so much bullshit regarding S/B ...He wasn’t the reason we dropped points last night and far from it.

Also remember the crap two years ago when he was supposedly done.

Scott Brown is far from finished as a first team regular.

3 months ago people were * themselves in case he got injured.
Said team couldn’t win without him.

    Short memories on some.

Yip...A knee * reaction to last nights disappointing result.

Griffiths and Clancy the clown were the reasons we failed last night..those two moments in the game go as they should and Motherwell were on a hiding .

Aye mate, but there’s no doubt we’re playing better without him now tho.. in Europe and domestically.

Not writing off as we all know that would be foolish when it comes to Broonie, but it does feel like the beginning of the end. We are just more dynamic without him..

Hope he stays for the 10, but with everyone fit he shouldn’t start. He is still getting back to full fitness Tbf and he didn’t have a fully firing Rogic and Forrest and newly enthused Christie at the start of the season, so it is a bit unfair to draw comparisons from us then and us now, we are a completely different animal..

Jc I know you’re more reasoned than a lot on here, so it wasn’t aimed specifically at you, but Last night forest, Boyata, Lustig weren’t on, Ntcham played out of position & Rogic only played part of the game so broony was up against it anyway.
Most of the other regulars that played struggled as well.
So seems a bit unfair to slate him for last night.

I’ll say it to I’m blue in the face and it astounds me people haven’t picked up on it - when Tom Rogic doesn’t play or plays injured we have zero movement up top, moving into space to pick up the ball from those playing deeper on the pitch.

Look at Benkovic’s passing last night.

This is true. This season Rogic hasn’t scored many but he’s still very influential, and a lot of his work goes unnoticed. He actually hasn’t been that good in the last 2/3 games, and when he’s not on song we look a lot less threatening.

The Motherwell game showed exactly why I feel his future lies at CB plays to deep for our Midfield and the Midfield is too good without him in it. If he was to move to CB though it would need be part of a back three.

Love Broony as much as the next man but I think Thursday nights fixture could be telling as to where he ranks in the squad going forward. For me, McGregor and Christie are undropable at the minute. Can't see that ending anytime soon either. Then take into account brown is 33 years of age. This maybe the beginning of the end, am not sure he is garunteed to be in our first 11 anymore. Next season he turns 34 too. As I say love the man. Been an immense servant of the club. Many great memories but I honestly think this is where we are starting to go down hill. He still as top ability, no question. But I think the old guard might be getting fazed out from here on in...

Are we talking about the same player here? Our captain who had a better pass rate of any player in CL group stages. After everyone thought he was done. The driving force and heartbeat of the team. An influential figure on and off the pitch. The guy that does the protecting of those behind him and offers his service for those in front to find an option. One of the fittest players in the team and doesn’t wear a coat in any weather. Yes we are playing better football at the minute but that is coincidental and not because of Scott. I still think he is an integral part of the squad and will regain his place when it’s the right time. He is a player that tends to gain loads of negatives when he ain’t even playing.

Broony's still an integral part of this squad, but he's gonna have to work his * aff to get back in the team, cause the midfield trio of McGregor, Christie and Rogic is on * fire.
