Sorry to hear that Bob, it’s always hard deciding what’s best for the dog against your own personal feelings. Again sorry for being a *. :50:

Here in ireland and uk dont they boil the lobsters alive! Theres people who have a close bond with cows, chickens and sheep here in the western world but i dont hear yas saying dont kill and get them. Humans are brutal when it comes to slaughtering their food, is just yous are conditioned to believe its ok to eat a cow yet not a dog. If one eats cows, chickens and sheep then how can they possibly say its not ok to eat a dog. Its just human mind conditioning where you sit with it. Me, i couldnt give a flying *. If they want to slap abit of mustard over a cooked dog then who am i to judge when i do the ame with my steak or chicken.

Am i a dog lover, not really. Weve had dogs before(when growing up) and i * hated it. I was actually going to poison the thing just to get it out of the house but couldnt bring myself to do it because of my wee sis at the time because she loved it.

Yes it is ‘human mind conditioning’ if that’s what you call it. That’s the point we are all making.

So if it wasn’t for your wee sis you would have poisoned a dog.

    Nice.

So arguing about differences in eating certain animals, yet onto thinking of poisoning your sisters dog. Was it a gay dog maybe?

There is no sensible way in which you can compare lobsters to dogs.

Lobsters, similar to tarantulas, are invertebrates with ganglion, rather than a complex brain structure found in a mammal. They are not capable of experiencing stress, worry or pain in the same way that a mammal does.

We lived in a terraced house in belfast, bought a dog which was supposed to be a small dog. Ended up it was a cross with an irish wolfehound. The * thing ended up massive and would never * up barking. * torture of the highest calibre it was and not to mention the hairs shedded of it. * in the garden etc...! Young and living a mad life full of drink and drugs and madness, these things do cross ones mind. would i do it now, no but just telling it how it was.

Marty, if thats the point your making then you must feel for them cows and the rest of the animals that get eaten. All im saying is if one thinks its ok to eat a cow then why the uproar when another animal is getting eaten. Dont Hinus or another religion have the same mindset as you about the dogs as they do about cows. Listen, would i eat a dog, not a chance of it. Would i kill one for someone to eat, not a chance but one cant say its not ok to eat a dog when they mangle all sorts of animals daily.

Plants are living things too and we eat them.

I get your point that we are conditioned to reject the idea of eating a dog. You're correct, we are. But there's good reason behind why we find the idea of eating dog disgusting, while we're ok with eating beef or chicken. Dogs are the ultimate animal companion, with a huge array of desirable traits that are beneficial to us. While most people recognise that cows, chickens and pigs are intelligent creatures that feel pain, we do not form that bond with them and most of them are bred to be slaughtered.

Have a look into raw feeding, drop me a pm if you wish.
Most vets are sponsored by dog food companies and know very little about nutrition.
