It’s just consistency he needs, his performance against Leipzig was one of the best lone striker performances I’ve seen for us in Europe.

He wasn’t ‘hoaching’ either, the game just didn’t really suit him. Adapting and improving other elements of his game is natural given his age and his lack of games and experience.

Nah, he was. Was up there with as poor a game as he's had for us. Needs to learn some of the basics that a striker should be doing. Luckily he has time on his side.

I thought he did fine to be honest. He had a few nice touches.

He was a bit sloppy but Eddy receives too much criticism sometimes. I'd rate his performance a 6.5 out of 10. Not bad

The basics are not his problem. He is technically sound , good touch , movement and can dribble and score goals. What he needs to work on his passion , aggressiveness and will to be the best he can be. More desire and fight to get involved.

    * are overcomplicating things here - he’s a 20 year old young lad.

Consistency will be an issue till he has maybe 150/200/250 games under his belt.

Thought he done ok to be honest. For a 20 year old with a lot to learn he was fine.

He was fine, nowhere near ‘hoaching’. I’m happy we’re giving him the time and experience, he’s still developing fs.

He was pish. Can't expect him to bang in a hat-trick every game, need to take the pish with the brilliant, unfortunately. He could end up a superstar but games like last night definitely show he still has a lot to work on.

Still our best choice in Europe though, as he provides a decent focal point and drags defenders about with him, opening up space for midfield runners.

For me sometimes he just needs to pull.the trigger alot sooner at times he wants an extra second on the ball or takes a secons longer to adjust and that second is vital because it allows the defender to adjust aswell no doubts he will.come.good wish moussa stayed to link with him could have been a frightening partnership

Kieran Tierney is a * anomaly. If we hold everycunt to Tierney’s standards then we’ll be * disapointed.

Guy came out the womb like he’d already played 400 odd games.

I'm convinced that's one reason that criticism of Lustig is so OTT. I mean obviously he has lost a yard of pace and isn't quite what he was; but he's far from the useless liability some folk would have you believe. In a surprising number of cases just a few posts later the same poster will put something about how they would be happy with a KT on the right. Some people need to realise that we won a watch with KT, enjoy it while he's here and stop expecting other players to be at that level, because otherwise they are going to be disappointed an awful, awful lot.

I always find that amusing, a ‘KT’ on the right. Aye I’d be happy with a McGrain and a Henrik up top as well.

If Kieran stays here his full career, that’s the level he’ll be remembered as.

No too much to ask for eh?

TBH Eddie is there to hold the ball up & link up with the midfield, i never seen any of that last night. We really need the lone striker to be at the top of his game with holding the ball up in Europe. I also think having Gordon in goal, doesn't help the big man. Every time a team makes Gordon punt he always hits it the other side of the pitch from were Eddie is, look up FFS & try to hit the man.

He wasn’t at his best last night but I’ve seen much worse for us away from home in Europe.

He’s played 10 European games this season, has 5 goals, his performance against Leipzig was one of the best lone striker performances I’ve witnessed in a Celtic strip.

See for a 20 year old guy learning the game? That is * exceptional.

Probably would have scored last night as well if Christie didn’t block his shot as well :56:
