Mobile phone, any better deals?

I bought an archos phone for a hundred quid a few years ago and a payg sim, wifi is everywhere and everyone I know is on whatsapp anyway I barely spend a penny, top it up like ten quid every six months, absolute lunatics needing the newest model every year, phones selling for near a grand, what does it actually do that your last one doesn't?

 

Bought my phone £120 samsung normal phone takes photos and they are good , video quality great especially when one ov the emergeny piped burst and thousand off gallons of water under pressure was like a * geezer.
Sim card i have £18 month unlimited everything

 

Wouldnt buy anything like it. I go through phone screens every few weeks/months. Did in 7-8 screens on same phone last year, this year ive done in a few on 2 phones this year again As for the deals yous * getting over there, * spoilt rotten. Here its ridiculous for contracts.

 

I've said for years I'm gonna stop buying new phones/contracts. But I eventually cave.

But honestly think once my current one runs out I'll just go PAYG for awhile.

I like my current phone, though it is a year old for me and around 18 months since it launched (I think). So, pay off the contract and revert to a cheap plan. I don't use many minutes or texts, so decent data is all I would require. And I'm sure I can do better than paying £45 a month for what I use now.


From there I'll save a little and maybe just buy a cheaper model every so often.

Trust me, on the pollution front, lada was a different league to any car.

Anybody got a Huawei P30 or P30 pro ? Was just going to stick with the s8 and get a sim but want something with a better battery and camera. Trying to keep under £30 with at least 5gb of data.

 

I know no nothing about mobile phones my charging port is broken so I gave my mobile to what i thought was a legit mobile repair shop but I've learned they have a bad reputation. I've not left my sim card in but I have all my passwords written down and a few bank details on there even photos of all my password log-in details can they access that without my sim? I know some phones save photos and details on the device as well as the sim.

 

Bought my first new phone in years last week, Moto G7 Power. Used to be really into phones, and when I worked for telecoms companies used to be given an iPhone to use. Now that I buy them myself I wouldnt go near them, or any of these phones costing a grand. Suppose it depends what you're looking for but this does everything I need for 180 quid and the battery life is superb.

 

Daughter has the P30 and says its the best camera in any phone she ever had, shes had iphones since year dot but broke hers few months ago, cant believe how good android is

 

More than likely all your photos etc are saved to the phone and not the sim mate

 

The Chinese are spying on you and have access to all your dodgy pics ... allegedly maybe possibly potentially

It's for my son age 13.
He needs a new one and it'll be for Christmas.

Something with sarge screen and excellent camera ?

He is currently with Vodafone and I want to put him on a monthly plan.

I went sim only earlier this year and this past week I just bought the Nokia 6.2 and think it is cracking. £159 it cost me off Amazon and worth every penny. Looks smart, large screen, 2 day battery and a decent camera. The 7.2 is a very similar phone - so much they use the same phone case when buying one separate - but it comes with a better camera if that's definitely needed.


edit: it is a mid priced mid range phone, but it 100% looks and feels premium. Pop in to carphone warehouse or somewhere and have a look at it.
