Curved TV gives you a better viewing angle if you're on either side of it rather than straight down the middle, but that's about the only advantage.

First things first mate. You need to stop calling it a Tele.

It's a TELLY. They are going to see you coming a mile away.

Don't let them bamboozle you with jargon when you go to buy your new tele/telly/television,you'll end up paying far too much for something you can get cheaper without all the bells and whistles,eg 4k,oled ,uhd, curved, 3d, surround sound smart arsed machine.do a wee bit of research before you go and you'll be wise to the spiel.

I'm lower Cambuslang. It is very territorial round these here parts, not uncommon for Upper and Lower Camby to speak different languages.

Both good choices man, samsung are great in particular cos they have a setting that smooths the picture called auto motion plus, basically makes everything on screen look a quicker framerate, the curved has a slightly better pic quality but there'd be no noticeable difference IMO.

Go into Curry's and waste their time finding out the best TV for your needs, then walk out and go home armed with your new info and find your TELLY online for much cheaper.

Tell ya what, I got a new Sony Bravia bout a month back

Obviously watch it on one of the HDMIs, for my sky box. Thing is though, it doesn’t let you access the settings menu on this input, so I can’t actually see or hear a picture when fiddling with the settings!!! :31:

It only lets the settings menu appear when on Digital TV input, and I’ve no got a * old school aerial

    Where’s it going?

I had slated curved tellys for years but ended up with one in my office in the corner of the room and it makes perfect sense.
