That would be ideal imo, keeps dembele happy for the next 4/5 months till he goes to Lyon and gives us time to find a replacement.

I dont know but this feels different, all that Boyata * was behind the scenes but to openly criticise and huff has made him look a right *.

Not condoning either of them mind you.

Nonsense. How does nothing change? He’s be a Lyon player, on Loan to us. We would be 20 mill or so better off, paying a fraction of his wage.
Everything changes. Can’t think of anything that wouldn’t change.

What do you mean he won’t be going anywhere? Genuine question.

I’m talking in literal terms, the post I quoted was as if he somehow leaves and comes back.

Not interested in a loan back arrangement, if we can milk another few million out of them I'd just let him go

Mouyokolo and Kapo were from Lenny himsef. Allan and GMS similar with Ronny witnessing them in Scottish football. The others were signed way down the list with the exceptions of Gershon and Browzek who were sort of emergency squad guys.

But you only get what you pay for, point in fact, if Van Dijk cost an extra couple of million or Wanyama, do you honestly think the blard would have authorised it? That’s not poor scouting to me.

If we bag £20m and get him back on loan that, on paper, is a great deal.

But even with cash in the bank and time on our side, I still don't have any confidence in the club to find a suitable replacement by January.

As soon as a player takes to social media to bad mouth the manager or club they should be punted ASAP.

If we hold onto him which looks doubtful, I can’t see him putting in 100% on the pitch between now and January.

If we haven’t scouted a striker in 4 months Congerton and the scouting network were supposedly paying fortunes for should be hung.

    * selling him now when theres only a few hours left we can't go with two strikers one of whom is more injury prone than Dembele.

Hmm. I don't understand this loan back business. Why would Lyon do that?

They are in a group with Man City, Shaktar and Hoffenheim. Surely, they'd want their 20m striker available to play for them in a group they have a good chance of getting out of? And if they fall into the Europa league after xmas Demebele will be cup-tied due to playing for us...

Anyone that says they wouldnt take him back on loan with 20 mil in the bank to help fund a replacement is on glue!

    He's our best player atm!

That would be a win win for everyone involved.

As long as our scouting department get off their fat *'s and use the time wisely to find a replacement.

It's a race against the clock that started several hours ago. The soap opera of the arrival of Moussa Dembélé (22 years old) in Lyon will come to an end in a few hours. In accordance with what he had decided, the young international Espoirs went to training this Friday morning. He traded with Brendan Rodgers. It was brief and intense.

The former Parisian has reaffirmed his desire to leave the Scottish club. He left the training center very quickly. Both men reached the point of no return. Discussions continued on Friday night. " It's not over, not at all"Slips a close to the folder. The OL was this Friday night, optimistic about a positive outcome of the case. As a reminder, the last Lyon offer is € 20 million.

Dembele's attitude has been questioned against lesser teams such a Partick, Hamilton etc. His body language suggests he is disinterested in these games and cant really be arsed, then when the big atmosphere of playing Sevco comes along he looks sharp and lively. No one will complain that he produces good form against sevco of course but it shows a poor attitude. He is basically a big sulky faced * who needs to grow up, posting snidey wee comments on twitter about the manager is pathetic. Just get the big headed, greeting faced * to *. There is no doubt he has the potential to become one of the top strikers in Europe but its 50/50 if he will ever fulfill that potential. If he had the attitude and humility of his fellow strikers Edouard and Griffiths he would go with my best wishes but he has shown a complete lack of appreciation to Brendan and the club.
