Rogic or Mcgregor for No10 Position?

With us now playing 352 and letting Eddy and Moussa let rip (Thank *), it leaves only really 1 position open for two of our best players, Rogic and Mcgregor. Rest of our midfield kind of picks its self as in Forrest, Brown, Ntcham, KT and then of course the number 10 position. I realise Mcgregor could easily slot in CM or even Lm for a game and what not however if we continue playing 352 which i hope we do then we are only going to really play 1 of these 2 most of the time, so who is everyones choice?

For me its Rogic, he is our best player in my opinion, bullies * all over place, great dribbling, passing and shot and he just edges it overall against CM for me and while both players are consistent, when fully fit i think Rogic edges it in terms of consistency up until the 60-70 min mark where he does often fade, he is constantly affecting the game. Feel bad for Mcgregor because he is a big big game player and has done nothing wrong to be dropped or be on the bench, either way i imagine these two will be get rotated through out the season and will each get plenty of game time to keep them happy, we could of course also go back to 361 where they can both play.

Anyhow if we continue with the 352 and can only pick one of these two *, who's it gonna be?

Depends on the game and Opposition.

 

When playing superior opposition we will likely start with both and leave a forward out..

Domestically Rogic in the hole in a 3-5-2 behind any of our three strikers is mouth watering..

In Europe, McGregor starts every time for me, uses the ball better than anyone against a step-up in opposition..

McGregor will play in other positions so Tam at 10.

 

In the 10 it's Rogic..

McGregor can play left and a host of positions still..

McGregor has been impressive as a 10 with the 2 up top though..

Not so far this season..

 

It depends on the game. If we're playing one of the big European teams I'd much rather McGregor. More efficient, more versatile, a better engine and better defensively.

 

McGregor when we need the extra dig in midfield e.g. against teams that love a midfield battle or against top notch opposition in Europe. Rogic when we're up against a packed defence e.g. most domestic games or lower level Euro opponents at CP.

 

Great to have both options..

I would say McGregor. Like picking a favourite child tho, could flip a coin and end up a winner.

I think we really benefit from McGregors tidy and consistent game. So good in possession and that helps us immensely, especially in Europe.

Rogic has the quality to rip defences open, and create those moments of magic, but I think McGregor shows his quality a bit more consistently than Tam.

McGregor is more versatile, but I prefer Rogic as a number 10.

 

At the moment it's more like a 3412.
