    Hale End product Armstrong Okoflex has confirmed his departure from Arsenal by signing for Celtic.

    The 16-year-old attacker was offered a scholarship contract by Arsenal but rejected the deal and has been undertaking personal training sessions to maintain his fitness while he has been without a club.

    Now, however, the England youth international, who has also represented the Republic of Ireland, has sealed a move to Celtic, where he feels he is more likely to receive first-team opportunities in the future.

    Okoflex featured for Arsenal at U18 level last season and was one of the club’s standout young prospects, with his departure a considerable blow.
