Poachers aren’t necessarily bad people , they are people born into abject poverty trying to raise their families. They are being exploited by people much further up the chain.

Middle class people from developed countries celebrating their death is sick.

I find it weird that the media reports on the NHS as if we are the only country in the world where people go to hospital when they get ill. The history of the NHS should be celebrated but we go way over the top - there are plenty healthcare systems out there better than the NHS.

I wouldn't celebrate anyone's death nor have an opinion on their character but at the same time I don't really have sympathy when they get eaten by lions. Kind of what you get when you mess with dangerous animals.

Huge difference between impoverished poachers and the sort of sicko tourists who fly into Africa just to gun down big animals. They do deserve absolute condemnation.

Seen it on the news with a big 70 on it, shame they left it on a trolley in the corridor for 2 days before eating it.

Whilst I'm no fan of it, the practice is said to have benefits for the poverty ridden and starving local communities. Meat is donated and welcomed, I think money is even pumped into communities for much needed water sanitation and anti-poaching, which is the real problem.

It might sound horrible to those in the west, but lion/giraffe etc will have been part of their diet for centuries, if they can charge a rich yank £50k for an almost farmed lion and antelope, which in turn helps out starving and deprived humans then at least there is a positive from it.

I'm not for it at all, just seen a few programs (bias, probably) highlighting the good that can come from it.

Nah, I quite enjoy seeing these stories of poachers being killed.

    Karma.

Yea a world of difference between those two groups and I’m not comparing the two.

I do feel sorry for those who do poach who I feel are a victim of circumstance

I appreciate the benefits. I also get there is a bit of hypocracy around the outrage given how little consideration we have to our own meat supply chains.

But there is something utterly psychotic in spending tens of thousands of pounds and travelling half way around the world just to seek out the most makestic animal you can find and kill it. All in the name of fun.

Almost every developed nation in the world has free health care. I'm not knocking it but the NHS isn't viewed as an especially successful model anywhere outside the UK (besides maybe against the very low standards of the US)

Seriously, if it wasn't for the NHS and we used America as a way of helping when we're ill then I'd be totally bankrupt.
In 2013 I was in Monklands 7 times with kidney stones and even contracted toxic shock when I was there, the needle missed my vein.
    Check this out.

People let their opinion of Kanye West's character cloud their judgement of his music. The guy is extravagantly talented but a lot of people don't want to admit it.
