The Peru names and numbers look like they were ironed on by the player themselves :56: the number on the front looks *

He spread his arms right out for me. Making himself bigger.

And this is exactly the point, his jumping motion meant that his arm was outstretched, you see players do it all the time as they jump for the ball, i think MON got it spot on.

France have underperformed massively in their two games.

It's the debate you guys are having, over the deliberate nature that makes the yellow card harsh for me. I can see why the Pen was given, the ball struck his arm and it was massively defelected, but I don't think it was deliberate. The penalty was harsh enough, booking the guy was just poor from the ref, in my opinion.

Peru a bit unlucky there,1-1 would have been a fair result

Joke that Peru have 0 points and the Danes have 4, should arguably be the other way around.

As soon as they come up against a decent team they will be toast, as in French Toast. :67:

Gutted for Peru. Played with some amount of spirit and fight, just no quality.

France can only get better from here surely. They're arguably in a strong position now. Been playing * but still winning games and through to the next round with a game to spare.

Tough games tho & won them both.. they lack harmony tho it seems a typical French trait.. like I say England would have won zero games in that tough group.

They have the players be right there at the end.

France would be unreal if they had a decent manager.

France showed today that if they click they’ll be dangerous. Some periods of sheer quality.

With Kante sitting in that midfield they’ll be difficult to beat regardless. He is unbelievable.

Aussies look a bit scared going forward, last 30 mins the game was there for the taking vs Danes, Tom oozes class but looks a bit hesitant at the last step, probably because Robbie Kruse is dog *...

Not sure why this new manager didn't throw Cahill on for the last 15 to nip a goal :97:

About a year ago I put Sainsbury in the Player Suggestion thread....solid, quick, can play a pass from the back, wasted away playing in * China, loaned at Inter for 6 months, not sure what happened after.. get him signed!!!!!

Aussie media are going mad at van Marjwik's hesitation in using Timmy, kind of get it though. Nabbout will run all day, is fast, can win headers and Juric has better hold up play.

Cahill no doubt a better threat in the box, but against France for example they needed as much ball retention as possible, and a 38 y/o Cahill doesn't offer that as well as others.

I suspect he will get game time against Peru if Australia are losing as a last resort, would be class if he popped up with a trademark header or a 2014 Porto Alegre left foot volley!
