Get the bhoy signed ffs, he’d be a great addition to the squad and club. Type of guy that would come and never leave again.

Wouldn't be majorly against it if he was cheap and dislodged someone like Hayes but as above....I think we can do better..

I want our next winger to be someone skillful and very creative who can maybe play wide, come in and play the 10 as well. A set piece/corner taker..

Different side's but we've got guy's who are direct already. Forrest, Sinclair and Morgan will be..

With Paddy going, we need someone who can skin 2 or 3 and is more skillful to compensate that loss for game's domestically where side's camp in. Creativity was definitely lacking at time's this year..

Albeit I haven't seen huge amounts of McClean, but I don't think he would bring that type of skillset to the club. I don't have him down as particularly skilful, not "skin 2 or 3" skilful anyway, or particularly creative.

View him as a player geared for the counter attack, someone that tracks back all day, but has a burst of pace to get to the byline and put a ball in the box.

Reckon he would be more useful particularly in Europe. Again though, haven't seen loads of him.

McClean is the exact type of winger we need for Europe, brings a * of a lot of balance between attack and defence.

    Neither do i..

He's a proper grafter. Direct as *. Quick. Can whip a ball in. Can finish. Definitely seems a player suited best to counter attacking where he has space to get in to..

We ideally need someone graceful and creative to take the heat off Rogic particularly...who can see defence splitting passes. When doubled up on, can take them out easily..

Think he would be a great signing for us.

Personally don't think he's good enough and a certain red card against the huns in waiting.

Doesn't look out of place at international level. Good experience against higher level players at the Euros. Will give 100% for us. Brown is a as much a certain red card against the huns as James. Hardened to abuse from supporters. Sign him up.

Going from Roberts to McClean is a huge step down it's craft weve lacked this season at times, not a bull in a china shop type winger he has a bit of pace and is aggressive but thats about it almost 30 too. hope that isn't the extent of our ambitions to bring some real class into the team.

We wouldn’t be going from Roberts to McClean, they play opposite wings.

Sinclair is miles the better footballer even off form can't get a game and will score 20+ too a season. it's squad options we have already lost the craft of roberts.

McClean would give you a more robust left wing than Sinclair as much as a good footballer Sinclair is he can lack heart at times but dont think he's the answer.

    Not really interested.

Said in this thread before if he came in his effort would be undeniable but I think we could do better technique wise.

Not overly arsed either way and I also don't think it will happen anyway. We've never actually been properly linked, it's always just him saying he'd like to sign.

If we are going to make progress against the bigger teams in the CL it is not going to be with guile and craft rather it will be with commitment and hard work.

He's played in a team that went to the home of the world champions and held out for a draw.

He's more a MON type signing than a Brendan one in terms of what they look for in a wide player MON went with Alan Thompson and he's a better footballer than McClean too only similiar strong, we have Sinclair ,Roberts,Musonda coming in as wingers under Brendan slightly lightweight but more more skillfull,

His positives over Sinclair are much the same as the reasons James Forrest has been first choice over Paddy Roberts in BR’s tenure.
