I remember it well. I wasn't cheering for Juventus either, I just dislike Madrid more.

I don't have a problem with that but wouldn't be telling you to have a word with yourself for saying different when they've slashed * out of our fan's in the 80's and the scum did it again which I've personally witnessed with the polis being just as bad..

Not a fan of Real by any means but I don't agree with this. Billy McNeill once said Real were his favourite team to watch outwith Celtic, so if they're alright by big Cesar then they're alright by me.

* Rubentus though. Don't know why any Celtic fan would want them to go through after the way they've cheated us in the past. Total scum.

 

and that is exactly why the Champions League is the greatest football competition on the planet! give me it over the World Cup any day.

 

* Juve but they didn't deserve that Madrid are scum, The Ref ruined what could have been a legendary game in the champions league and instead ended the champions league career of Buffon with a Red card he did not deserve

 

I'd say to * with Roma too. They * Dundee United over in 84.


While I am at it. * Athletico Madrid in the Europa too.

 

Bad result for Napoli here, you'd think Juve will go on a run in the league now and carve it up.

Real Madrid are absolute *, I don't care what McNeill said about them.

 

Real Madrid knocked Celtic out in 1980, we won 2-0 at home and lost 3-0 away but in the first leg home game Celtic had a goal wrongly disallowed for offsie and in the 2nd leg they put the boot into Celtic early, a guy done Johnny Doyle at knee height with the studs as he was breaking forward which should have been a red and didnt even get booked. They then got an indirect freekick in our box as the Ref said Peter Latchford held onto the ball for too long even though it was because 2 Real Madrid players stood right in front of him and were walking around preventing him from kicking the ball - they got a corner from that and when they swung in the corner 2 of their players clattered into Latchford again and the 3 of them fell and the Real player poked it in the net to give them a 1-0 lead in the 45th minute right before HT - again it should have been a foul on our keeper.

So they have a history of * behaviour against us as well, probably costing us a place in the semis.

 

Aye awrite statto but we huvnae even played them this century. There are still * playing for Juve the day that have cheated Celtic.

 

Still though, the main teams we should hate are Atletico for kicking the * out us in 1974, Real as we had that goal disallowed, they got away with a red card then scored a goal when Celtic should have had 2 fouls, Porto for 2003 and Juventus from 2001 since if we had drew I think we'd have went to the Last 16 that season.

 

We are supposed to hate madrid because of a time before their whole team was born? K

Rapid Vienna must be high up the dislike list.

 

You dont get many chances of winning European trophies, if that goal wasn't disallowed, the Ref had sent their player off or if he'd have called either foul on our keeper we'd have most likely been in a European Cup semi in the 80s.

 

In the case of Atletico, I find it difficult to hate a team because of something that happened 20 years before I was born.
