Some Irish people fought on the side of the Allies but the Irish Government formally rejected the UK`s offer of a united Ireland if Ireland scrapped its policy of neutrality and fought for them.

Will there be any parades or the like in Glasgow for this Easter weekend?

First time in Glasgow at Easter.

I never wear any Celtic colours going to games but will be wearing my Lilly.

Honour Ireland’s patriot dead and wear an Easter Lilly. Am I likely to upset an orc or 2 cutting about the town?

Well there is always that possibility, however I wouldn't let that put you off. I can't get up that weekend this year but all the buses I have been up on over the years would have had plenty of folk wearing Easter Lillies. The gig Marky was selling a ticket for down the Gallowgate is an Annual Commemorative event ( I stayed up for the one before we won the league 5-0 at Killie and it is a good night.)

Cheers for the info. I’ll be over the moon if I can grab a few tickets for it.
