I'm a big believer that a baby comes when it is meant to for that person, this may mean they 16 or 46 but that was meant to be.

There is however cases were the expecting mother had no choice in the matter with the likes of being raped so they should be allowed the option and despite how difficult a choice I would find it parents who find out their child is going to be born with a disability should also be given the choice, it's a horrible choice to make but it's one parents should be allowed to make.

It'll be a landslide yes vote, just being a realist.

It is up to the person,as long as it is done early and well thought about.

100%, without getting into the case studies like Savita Halappanavar alot of people in the country are * off with the church and will vote against anything they hold dear which is one aspect, secondly women young and old have been calling for this for years, so many stories of taking day ryanair flights just to get an abortion in England.

If there was a war of propaganda if you want to call it that the repeal side have won long ago.

I am against abortion and I cannot think of any logical argument in favour of it from a moral perspective. But I also think the question is more naunced in that while I am against abortion, from a purely pragmatic perspective I dont think I would ban it outright.

I would certainly not encourage it as some sort of a life choice as we do in the UK but I would be tempted to vote to legalise it even if being against the act itself.

Not even gonna pretend that there's a chance that the referendum will end with the 8th being saved, it's sad but it's the reality. Ah well, all part of a "progressive" society I suppose. :39:

Good, I'm glad to hear it's likely that they'll repeal the amendment.

I'm very much in the pro-choice camp. As I am with most circumstances.

The Catholic Church needs to bite the bullet and allow condoms but I agree with them on abortion. It will be interesting to see how Ireland votes. I wonder can Irish passport holders who don't live in Ireland vote on this.

I can see the vote being close and it being a generational split, with younger people siding with pro-abortion and the older people with pro-life.
