I keep hearing this pish from all angles.

Here’s the reality, you could pay a human being 40 million quid a week to play 3 times every week and it wouldn’t make a single bit of a difference.

Money and tiredness aren’t related, pounds and pence can’t change the fact that physically people get jaded after doing something routinely for a long period of time.

The players need a rest and going by the reactions to getting beat nil nil yesterday some fans do as well.

correct i normally have one gig a week on a saturday but during xmas new year we had three gigs on the trot fri sat and sun and believe me it feels like an effing world tour humping gear from home to car go to venue unpack gear into venue assemble gear do gig take gear down into car drive home and repeat.so yes we have played 14 games more than the rest of the league and it shows so cut our bhoys some slack their fitness levels are immense given this fact.HH.

I dont have stats but we must have played more matches than any other club in Europe or near enough the past 18months,without the luxuries of a psg or a Chelsea.2 qualifying campaigns,2 groups, went all way in our 3 domestic cups(2 league cups,1 Scottish cup).

With everything the team have done they need this, I'm just watching the achievements happen before my eyes and feel shattered * knows how some of those players probably feel.

Here’s a cracker of a stat for anyone that dismisses tiredness as a reason for our drop in form.

In 17/18 the 3 outfield players, from any top tier European league and including Internationals, who have played most minutes are; Tierney, Brown and Lustig who have played the equivalent of approx 40 games in 169 days. Valon Berisha of Salzburg is 4th who has played the equivalent of roughly a game and 2/3 less than Lustig.

KT has played 3607 mins this season, only Gordon has played more.

Came at the right time. Definitely needed, not sure how anyone could say we don't look fatigued and jaded.

It’s a mental break more than a physical break we need. We’re playing a game every few days since August and every game has been an absolute battle. Players injured, players off form, it’s been a nightmare.

Imagine the constant pressure and expectation they have been under to live up to last season and improve. It would be totally draining.

They need Rogic and Roberts back as well as one or two fresh faces. If guys like Dembele and Armstrong are wanting out (not saying they do, but hypothetically) then they need to be moved out and replaced by equal quality.

This month is crucial and I think we have the right management team in for it.

Still not buyin it. Yet two of these 3 players, other than Forrest, have been playing extremely well and have been showing the most passion, grit and determination. Something we have been lackin of late. So where's the rest of the teams excuse? But aye, it's fatigue. Maybe if you go and give them a wee rub down after each game they'll be ready for the next game. Tell broon to drink Horrlicks at night. He'll get a great sleep.

Let's not ruin the invincibles well deseved break to Dubai. Sevco will be lapping it up to a last minute to * knows where. Would not surprise me if it was Pontins for a kick about. No wonder Big Bruno chucked it!

Does anyone know what it's called, when you present someone with evidence and they ignore it? :giggle1:
