Seriously, for a industry that is meant to be promoting responsible gambling etc etc etc, they sure as * make it difficult to simply delete/close an account.

Anyone know how to delete a bet365 account?

Aye eventually got a tweet back from bet365 as well, asking to send my username and a contact number in dm.
No doubt to attempt to talk you out or tie yoh up in a load of bullshit.

Needless to say, * am I giving a twitter account that info or going through the hassle. I'll just need to delete all info off the account and ditch it.

That’s *. The only way to possibly do it would be seeing if you can change the details on it, so to someone else’s email and get them to change the password to, so you can’t access it. Obviously, make sure you delete your card details first.

Just went on, can't even do that (mobile site), won't delete a card or contact number or address. Forced info to do with the responsibile gambling malark I assume, yet we can't actually close an account.

    Madness.

To be fair. I'm just wanting to close it and move to paddy power or something. Fed up using bet365, but at this rate I'll end up keeping it and using it.
Personally just don't want to have multiple accounts with my details flying around. Too easy to drop money in each and squander more.

Self exclude after withdrawing any money in the account.

It’s an absolute joke. Surely responsible gambling would mean they would have to provide the option to totally cancel and even prevent any opening of further accounts by those who deem it necessary?!

Easily done, but rather not have the account at all

    You would think.
I'd have thought there would be a law within that responsible gambling to have that option to be very easy to find.

Social media sites are as bad at times, hiding the delete account options under a thousand menus.

Just cancel your bank card and don’t add it to any betting account

Oh it's easy. You can self exclude for up to 5 years. Or phone them up and tell them you think your starting to have problems with gambling, as in betting to much money and you want your account closed immediately.
They will do it as they have had problems before, and have had to pay back money to problem gamblers after that statement. Just record the call.
    * paddy power the * closed my account/s last week. Duplicate accounts are not allowed. It was fine when I was always losing, but then I got my thinking cap on and started to win. Not big but small amounts often.
    Duplicate accounts when losing, fine.
    Duplicate accounts when winning, banned.
