Taking players on in Scotland is one thing, taking athletes who are stronger and quicker in the CL is another. Not got it for that level unless he works harder in building himself up. Felt sorry for Ralston last night.

You have got to be joking me.

The primary reason Paddy struggled is because Ralston offered nothing on the overlap, so it was Paddy vs 2/3 defenders every single time.

When 3 players are round you, you've got to look to pass the football. Difficult to do that with the head down right enough.

Insults Patrick Roberts here, and in another thread suggests signing Liam Lindsay from Partick would have made a difference last night.

You're all over the place here, Metro.

He took them on well, so effectively in fact that they doubled up on him.

It's not his fault the midfield had no interest in supporting him. See the difference when Rogic swaggered on and actually helped him.

I felt genuinely angry and sorry for him in the second half when we picked up the ball, then had 3 PSG players around him, he held it up best he could and awaited for support....Which never came, eventually they took it off him and he flapped his arms and shouted "Give me a * hand" or words to that effect I'm assuming. I suppose Ralston was rightly worried about being too far up the pitch and getting done on the counter, especially with the ridiculous pace they have.

No-one could get close enough to Sinclair and Roberts in a Celtic top, so they were outnumbered every time, we were terrified to push men forward for risk of counter attack. It makes sense, but I do think our game plan was to stop PSG rather than play our own game. We paid that much attention to detail, we were just chasing shadows.

I honestly can't see past PSG winning this Champions League. Only team that could stop them is Real Madrid, they'd beat Barcelona and Bayern over 2 legs IMO.

I don't think it matters what strategy or team we put out - They'd have beaten us.

I think Roberts is the best player we have, and playing Ralston at RB is part of the reason Roberts couldn't get into the game. Offered him no overlaps or link-ups, not even the short pass option. Lustig at RB every CL game from now on.

Provided our only exciting play of the night by skinning a few players. But... That isn't saying much but fair play he had a go at them just didn't have the help that was needed.

Agree with both your points, on one hand Roberts did try to do the impossible too many times instead of the simple ball to Rogic on the inside. But at the same time he didn't have any options on his right-hand side like Sinclair does with Tierney.

Thats what was missing the overlap run, that takes a defender away and when he is against 2 defenders he has a chance and more room to pass. Rogic came on and personally made a massive difference.

Once ralston plays more spl games and gets used to the overlap he will do it naturaly. Until then lustig is a better option for cl.

Im not anti ralston. He was ny favourite player last night with his passion. Just the lack of runs takes away from pardys game.

You are so off the mark here. Roberts had close to zero support, got past the opposition plenty of times to win us free kicks in dangerous positions. Forrest would've done * all. He would keep running into the opposition because he's so one-dimensional at this level. Roberts was one of the few who were good last night

PSG had enough space as it is last night without Ralston making overlapping runs. That's why we got torn apart constantly on the Left, Sinclair and Tierney often in no mans land.

KT has been well bombed out since Roberts' return.

He'll be probably be putting in a transfer request soon...

If you watch it back Rogic was lazy as * and barely offered himself as an option.

The front 3 were given no support all night.

Seemed to be frustrated when coming off put that down to passion for the club. Fair play.

Think he's taking the split with KT really bad.

Ask his parent club about that.
