    Wee bump.

Over the last week I've watched The Wicker Man (1973), An American Werewolf in London and Evil Dead 2. Really enjoyed all three of them.

Going to catch up on some classic horrors, horror/comedies that I've not seen. @Vinnie BBQ is the resident horror aficionado....which ones are must watch films? Preferably horror/comedy.

Evil dead 3 is the ultimate horror. Comedy for me, great film.

Got the original wicker man on DVD with some rare clips, again very good film, remake was an embarrassment

Yeah I'll definitely watch Evil Dead 3 soon. The second film was good. For quite a short film, 1hr 20mins, it was some ride.:giggle1:

I have a soft spot for the remake of The Wicker Man. It's a bad film but it's so bad it's good. Plus, this might be the best scene of any film ever.

Oh aye mate the second is my fav, such a good film, Ash is such a madcunt as well! In terms of comedy horror the third is more that than the second, which takes some doing. Best bit in second is when he's chasing his hand and gives him middle finger haha!

Yeah that is a brilliant scene hahaha!

The one id recommended mainly if you haven't seen is "The Thing" probably one of the best horror suspense films made

The Thing is a brilliant movie, i would avoid the re-make, and just seek out Carpenter's masterpiece. :50:

Wouldn´t say that as I´m more into zombie movies tbh.

But here's some titles I like (Zombie and horror.)

Braindead (or dead-alive in some countries) Be sure to catch the right one as there is a * movie out that's called brain dead with a space inbetween.

The Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue (aka Let sleeping corpses lie)

And a recent one which I thought was great.

For the longest time, horror was my favorite movie genre. I loved watching it all, commercial, b flicks, foreign.

Sometime in the last 10/15 years the standard of horror had severely dipped. I think this comes down to two things

    A) Densensitsation. I won't get too far into it as it's been done to death.

    B) Lack on funding leading to an over-relience on cgi and not enough spent on practical effects. The last horror I watched with practical effects was The Evil Dead remake. This was a work of art as far as remakes go.

I'd love nothing more than for horrors to make a solid resurgence.

Started watching one last night that was quite good but ended up falling asleep.

    You're Next (2011)

It's on Netflix. Basic premise is its a family dinner in a relatively big house and then a * with a creepy mask comes and starts picking them off with a crossbow. Kind of horror I like.

That was such a weird film. Might need to watch it again.
