They changed their game against the Polish mob to the Aviva last year..Think they had to because of the capicity in certain rounds..plus the money they would make on a tie they are nearly certain to lose would be too much to refuse..

    Interesting.

Never realised mate. I'd rather that to be honest, rather than playing in a smaller ground.

Honestly im glad we dont have to travel to places like kazakstan this year. Astana was the team to avoid 100% for me.

Oriel park is only 3500 capicity compared to 50000 which would definitely be a sell out.. Some pay day for Dundalk..hard to turn that down for any Irish club

Tell ye one thing. I have never felt more confident going intay qualifiers now. No team will want to play us. A champions league quality cb and paddy and were looking very very strong.

Both Dundalk and Rosenborg are not simple tasks. Big step up from Linfield but still should breeze through.

I'm much more confident of beating Dundalk than I am Rosenborg. We've had too many close run-ins with Scandinavian sides over the past number of my years that have left me feeling very wary of them.

1-1 in their first leg, think it'll be Rosenborg we'll be playing. Pretty confident going against them.

Feel the same about Scandinavian teams, they're midway through their season and usually sharp. But * them we're playing with a confidence now

We've improved massively since then, under Ronny we got caught out constantly by their tactics and technical ability. We've improved ten fold in both departments under Rodgers not to mention fitness.

    Interesting.

So actually Malmo aren't even guaranteed of being through, Be'er Sheva could go out there too, wouldn't fancy them heading to Hungary. Ludogrets trailing, BATE not comfy, APOEL pretty slender there as well.

I'm certainly more confident than I was under Ronny but I'm still a bit wary.

This time of years is notoriously difficult for Scottish teams in Europe. Even O'Neill's team fell at the qualifying stage and he had players like Larsson, Sutton, Hartson et al.

These teams aren't better than us but we're barely in pre-season when we play them. That does make a huge difference IMO.

Qarabag and Maribor have got lucky, would be suprising if they never made the play-off. Would be ideal sides for us to draw in it too since they'll have had an easy passage through and be * theirselves at playing us.

    Aye, I'd happily face Maribor.

Either way, some big sides for this level are due to go out.

We probably want Copenhagen to go through and knock out Malmo as we cant play Copenhagen anyway and Malmo are decent. Same with Salzburg we want them to go through and knock out Rijeka who are probably the best team we can play as we can't play Salzburg.

Id also like Olympiacos, Ludogorets and BATE knocked out as that would mean we can't play APOEL Nicosia or Legia :56:

I think Kobenhavn will beat Malmo, you'd imagine Salzburg will be ok as well.

Olympiacos won't go out though I don't think, the other two are in serious danger though. Anyway, all hypothetical at the moment until we do our own job.

Aye, im sure Olympiacos got shocked last season though and knocked out, wouldnt be too suprising if Partizan managed to beat them.
