Hmmm, dunno about that. One is famous for being a founding member of the FA and possibly the oldest team in the world, the other has won the big cup more than we have!!!

Nice to see that. Hope they play a lot better when they actually do wear the top then they did today, getting done 4-1 at Granada.

Always liked Nottingham Forest, I think fans of the premier league era just assume Chelsea, City, etc have always been the big clubs.

Forest are a shambles of a club at the moment, owners aren't even competent enough to drive through selling the thing. Verge of being relegated from the second tier.

Forest were never a 'big' club, that was the whole point that made Clough's success there extraordinary. Historically their attendance is absolutely dwarfed by Chelsea and Man City.

If it's anything like the regular kit the sponsorship will be on the back of the shirt. Quite a few clubs in Spain can't attract a main shirt sponsor, even Valencia have been without one for ages. They're not doing it for the sake of aesthetics, if they could get someone to pay up they'd be selling the space in a heartbeat.

You inference was clear as day, don't give me that weasel word *. :giggle1:

You say Premier League era fans assume Chelsea and Man City have always been 'the big clubs' compared to Forest, despite Man City being English champions 41 years prior to Forest and Chelsea 23 years prior. Your argument doesn't stand up when you look at the history.

Chelsea were never a big club prior to the Abramovich take over City were never a big club prior to the Arab takeover. United Liverpool Arsenal were always the big clubs the best of the rest was Forest Leeds Everton Tottenham Aston Villa and so on. Forest are a good club, and it would be great to see them in the premier league again.

Why am I not surprised to see you in Celtic chat yet again talking about English teams why are you even on this forum :87:

Edit, my argument doesn't stand up does it? lets look at the history then smart *.

    Nottingham Forest:
    League winners- 1977-78 runners up 66-67 & 78-79
    FA Cup Winners- 1897-98 & 1958-59
    League Cup Winners- 77-78 78-79 88-89 89-90
    European Cup Winners- 78-79 79-80
UEFA Super Cup Winners- 1979 runners up 1980

    Prior to money Chelsea won
    One league title in 1954-55
Three FA Cups between 1969 and 2000
Two League cups between 1964 and 1998
Two cup winners cups between 1970 and 1998
And a UEFA super cup in 1998

You don't half talk * pal.

You made a * comparison and you know it, own up mate. You think Forest who struggled to get 10k averages pre-war are a bigger club than two who were getting over three times that, you are delusional.
