    Of course it is!

No * has even seen him play to make a fair assessment, nevermind a comparison with anyone else :56::56::56:

The comparison was always going to be made.

They play the same position to be fsir but I get the impression this guy is more of an all rounder rather than an anchor man in the form of Vic.

People say that but Victor could do more than just sit and did while at us, he scored quite a lot of goals and also could carry the ball on a run and beat players quite easily. Even at Southampton they let him do more roaming and used Schneiderlin to sit.

Wanyama has more skill and gets about the pitch more than he gets credit for I think, would say he is more like Essien or Davids or Roy Keane than Mahmadou Diarra, Busquets, Lennon or Emerson or those kind who just sit infront of defence and dont really ever get up to the oppositions box. Wanyama you see going down the wing or getting into the box or shutting down the oppositions keeper most games he plays in.

Even just at the weekend there im sure he put in a cross from the right wing that almost set up a goal and he started off a move from deep where he then passed forward and ran into the box and Harry Kane scored, he was in a position where Kane could have gave him it back.

Aye don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's just an upgraded version of Keith Lasley or anything.

However he is primarily an anchor man. Now anyway.

When I think of him I think of him tackling, breaking up play and passing it to a more technical player. That shows in his goal return since going down south. Up here he could run riot because he was sweat streets ahead of anything else. Much like Van Dijk.

This guy, from what I've read, is an all rounder. He's probably able to play a box to box role as well as he can play defensive mid. Not to mention the fact he's not as 'built' as wanyama. Who is a walking, talking, brick wall.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Ivorian midfielder Kouassi Eboue has completed the paperwork required to complete his move to Celtic but the player will not feature this weekend. Celtic play Albion Rovers on Sunday in the Scottish Cup , Celtic fans will have to wait to get their first glimpse of Eboue.

“His visa has just been completed,” said Rodgers. “He’ll be back but not by then. We’ll need to see where he’s at in terms of fitness but after this weekend he should be in and training.

CELTIC ace Kouassi Eboue was struck down by malaria.

The Hoops’ new £2.8million midfielder was rushed to hospital in Glasgow after showing signs of the deadly virus.

It is not known how Eboue, 19, from Ivory Coast, Africa, got the bug.

A source close to the star said: “The symptoms were very mild and he wasn’t in hospital for too long. He was able to do some training on Monday.”

His agent Yves Amagbegnon added: “Eboue is fine. There is nothing to worry about.”

Eboue has yet to kick a ball for Celtic since his transfer from Russian side FC Krasnodar.

He needed a UK work permit to rubber-stamp his move to Parkhead and was forced to wait for a travel visa from Moscow.

But Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers said his debut will not be delayed any longer than anticipated after his treatment at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Speaking yesterday, he said: “It’s going to be a wee bit of time for Eboue.

“He hasn’t trained in a while. We will get him up to speed over the next few weeks.”

Eboue isn’t the first Celtic player treated for malaria.

Former defender Bobo Balde picked up the bug in 2004 on a trip home to Guinea, Africa, for international duty.
