Glad Wonderboy got his rematch after Woodley has been talking about fighting everyone except Thompson.

Can't help but think it'll be another 'he should never have come back' job.

Noises from most people are suggesting the entire thing was a set up.

Which would make sense considering the buzz he's created by calling out 2 of the biggest names, 1 of which who came through the Ultimate Fighter at 205 and the other who has fought the majority of his UFC career at 145 - 60lbs apart!

Aye the Bisping thing was probably a publicity stunt, but I'm sure him and Conor would like to fight as crazy as that would be. Woodley wants the money fights and it looks like he's planting the seeds for some.

    They all want money fights.

McGregor has changed the entire game, whether you're a fan of him or not. Everyone is wearing a suit and sunglasses, trying to rip the * out of everyone else and want all the money fights.

BJ is a perfect example of not knowing when to stop, it's a shame cause he's had a great career.

Im dreading seeing BJ Penn. He was probably my favourite fighter at one time, and he had his day in the sun.

I cant help think he must be doing it for the money, as surely those around him would be telling him the game has moved on since his prime. I mean his fellow Hawaiian Holloway, a guy who probably adored him growing up, would destroy him.....he must know this surely?

Hes not doing this for money hes pretty loaded I think.

But yea I am dreading it as well am a big fan of Penn. I just dont know what the UFC match makers were thinking they should have matched him up with someone older to test the waters. A Denis Siver or something.

He might shock the world but is last fight was just really strange and sad.

    Ego's die hard unfortunately.

It would be the upset of the year if he beat Rodriguez IMO.

Her dig was so misguided. MMA as a sport, and the UFC as an organisation, is genuinely much more diverse than Hollywood, and far more meritocratic too.

    * has been walking the Hollwood red carpet, socialising with the US high rollers and generally living the lifestyle of a multi-millionaire actress for decades and has the * cheek to have a go at a bunch of mostly broke combat sports practitioners because their chosen pursuit isn't 'artsy' enough for her refined tastes.

I actually like her but her comments were completely misinformed.

She has used something she doesn't like to make a point. It would be akin to McGregor collecting an award at a ceremony and saying * Hollywood actors they're all a bunch of shysters.

Which would be actually be factually more correct than Streep's dig.

I didnt think her spiel was to offend the sport per se, more about the fact that the word 'Arts' is in the title of the sport. More a dig at macho philistines like Trump than at MMA.

They are poncy at times, but need protecting....the actual arts that is, and her speech was an impassioned one.

It was a clear dig at MMA. Any suggestion to the contrary is wrong.

To then even suggest it's somehow a dig at Trump is utterly bizarre.

It was all about Trump and his attack on foreigners! She was highlighting that an attack on immigrants is an attack on the arts, specifically Hollywood.

Snobby old cow though, i'd guess she doesn't like MMA and thats why she brought it up, probably seen it once and went "oh thats barbaric".

Calling MMA 'not the arts' has zero to do with Donald Trump in isolation.

I'm well aware what her rant was about.

Yes, on that you may be right....but i think it was more of an anti sports agenda than specifically MMA myself. Could be wrong
Well ok, but i personally seen it as a dig about macho sports in particular, as opposed to the actual arts. I didnt see it as specifically designed to insult MMA, more designed to insult those who watch it and football etc, whilst having no interest in the arts. No matter.

It didnt make any sense either that she singled out MMA, as her point was about foreign people not being allowed in so Hollywood would be * and deprived of a lot of actors and they'd be stuck watching NFL and MA and a lot of MMA fighters are foreign as well, notably McGregor the biggest star in the sport, 5 of the 11 UFC Champions are foreign so they wouldnt be allowed in either. NFL I could see her point as its almost entirely Americans that play it, she could have used NFL.

Then to single it out as "not a real art" either on top.

You find it really hard to compute things on face value.

It is a clear dig at MMA, whether or not it was her intention or not. It came across premeditated and nasty.

Dana White (and many others) had every right to react to her comments.
