I was a dog person growing up until I met the wife. She has an irrational fear of dogs so we got a cat instead.

To be fair, cats are brilliant, especially the no walking and cleaning themselves stuff.

I mind once when I had not long been going out with the wife, she told me this dog that lived next door to her Mum terrified her when she went to visit every Saturday. I explained to her that dogs can sense fear and it was only being aggressive because she was * scared of it.

Next time she went to her Mums I tagged along. We got to her house and we are walking up the path when the big * German Shepherd jumps up on the fence and starts barking like *.

I said to the wife, "watch this". I confidently approached the dug and went to clap it and the * bit me. :giggle1:

Needless to say that did not help my wife's fear of dogs one bit.

The only Poodle features she has is her hair slightly wavy and her face and head is a little bit thinner than a Labrador's apart from that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Had boxers growing up. Living in London don't have room in my flat to swing a cat.

Boy in work is picking up his Dog de Bordeaux pup next Thursday. 8 weeks old and it's a monster already.

Really fancy a dog (other than my Lab at my mums!) but it would be unfair with both me and the missus out all day. I dream of having a couple of big massive *, would love 2 Newfoundlands.

    Cracking dug!

I'd like a mixed breed I think, if I had my own way.

Always liked Labs, collies and retrievers. One of those or a mix of two would be my choice.

Getting a beagle, mate. Done a fair bit of research and this is probably the best breed for us.

Although almost every breed I've read about, I love the idea of having. :56:

I prefer cats, think I inherited a fear of dogs when I was younger, don't mind them now,but occasionally a dog will completely freak me the * out.

Parents really shouldn't pass their fear of spiders/dogs/whatever on to their kids - know it isn't intentional, but it's hard to shake off an irrational fear years later.

Anyone been to crufts? My gf loves dogs and so do I and just so happens her birthday is that weekend. Any experience what it's like? Looking to surprise her.
