Given we're set to sign two players, before a manager is confirmed, it does look like its Lawell & Park signing the players.

Petrov signed a new deal and was offski shortly after, so that means nothing, the new contract Lustig signed is only as good as the best offer we accept.

Baffling that interview with Lennon. Completely bizarre, and not needed.

The only to people who have given the media insight to the Celtic process, which we have worked so hard to keep behind closed doors.

Step forward Martin O'Neill and Neil Lennon.

Both brilliant servants to the club, but I don't know why they have felt the need to do this. It is not welcome at all.

Believe me there are hundreds of times more Celtic supporters clubs around the world than Man City, Chelsea and Paris St Germain combined.

Ok we don't have the clout to compete with said clubs financially but to put down the size of the club especially abroad as pish is very wrong.

Don't underestimate until you live abroad how big we are....

On another note, a true fact and the opposite side of the coin is I lived outside the UK for 6 years in different countries, in that time I saw only one Hun shirt and that was in of all places Ukraine.

As a Strømsgodset supporter, I must say that I've spent an surprising amount of time on this forum during the last six months :smiley-laughing002:

Anyways, it's obviously sad to see Ronny leave us, as this means the end of an era for us (and we are talking "we demand a statue on the main square" era here). However, we knew this day would come eventually, and when he does leave I'm excited to see him leave for such a great club as yours.

I see that you have already received quite a lot of info from my fellow supporters, and I can only stand by everything being said about Ronny. He has achieved things with Godset which I simply did not think was possible, and I think he is by far the most talented manager prospect in Norway.

I thought that you would might perhaps appreciate a few more facts about Ronny which I cannot see have been mentioned so far in this thread:
    - One of Ronny's main goals when taking over Godset was to make his home ground a fortress, and he has certainly made it happen. On Monday, Godset could set a record braking 45 matches in a row without losing in the league, eradicating Rosenborg's record from the 90's. The team has also scored in all of those matches.
    - I believe that one of Ronny's main qualities is his ability to sit down with and persuade talented players into joining the club because he is able to sell his message to them and make them believe in his project. All of a sudden, young and attractive players chose to join us rather than Rosenborg...
    - Ronny is certainly a man for the fans, as I'm sure you will find out. The interaction with Godset fans both during and outside matches is unlike any other I know of, which has no doubt elevated the support during matches. He also insists on the team celebrating big victories together with the supporters, allowing fans to enter the parties with the players. Not sure about hos he'll handle that in Glasgow though, you better have some massive night clubs over there:smiley-laughing002:

Oh, and by the way, Flo is a terrible terrible sports director. I would just take Ronny and move on. :smiley-laughing002:

This puts pressure on deila right away, the press now know he was only good enough to be Lennons assistant in the clubs eyes, now hes the manager, i know nothing about Deila and wish the guy good luck, but if we start off badly i can just see the headlines now

So our number two let it be known he was leaving this summer and fans jumped on this news as proof he and lennon planned to leave because of budget cuts and top players being sold.
Now our new manager was being head hunted to replace our number two and to work with lennon next season....but but but lennon was leaving because of budget cuts and planned player sales.

Now we are signing this guy because lennon suddenly left and he is not good enough because he was originally going to be our number 2.

Wonder what the next brain wave will be on monday.:87:

Unless you have a great goalie already, I think there is every chance that Kwarasey could join you. Kwarasey is a modern goalie who is great with his feet, which is something Deila's style of play really requires. He also has a lot of trust in Kwarasey, even though he is prone to do some big errors every now and then.

Ronny Deila will be presented as new Celtic manager this lunchtime. Expect John Collins to be named in the new coaching set-up.
