Neil Lennon Has Left Celtic

It was an ancient geographer called Ptolemy (Greco-Roman-Egyptian).

 

So who died and elected him the namer of islands.

Many places have been named differently by different people and races. Going by your logic then Ireland could be called Hibernia and Scotland could equally called Caledonia.

 

Scotland is often called Caledonia and Ireland, Hibernia. The same way Germany is called Allemagne is France

But clearly English is the dominant language in the British Isles - Hence why you called Eire, Ireland.

The British isles is the name given to GB,Eire etc by the first people to write/record it's existence, and they named it after the dominant tribe.

E.g France after the Franks, Americas after Vespucci...

So as said before, Lennon has every right to call himself British, as does anyone born in the British Isles. He shouldn't be abused for it.

 

Africa is the motherland anyway.

 

I never denied Lennon the right to call himself British, however I have the right to approve or disapprove of his decision to do so. Where have I abused him?????

As regards the "british isles", you brits can call them what you want but we Irish do not have to tow the british line anymore.

I never said you abused him - just referencing the fact that he does get abuse for it.

It's called the British Isles in English, 'You Irish' have your own words for it....

Whatever he says I personally do not believe he sees himself as British. I think that he tends to pander a little to the media a little too much. This has likely come about because of the trouble he had in his early years as a manger. This trouble was helped in no way by the media who rather fanned the flames by justifying abuse and also writing as many negative stories as possible about him.

I also think from his point of view that he can make more money by keeping the media on his side with appearances on British TV.

Personally I do not like the way he has started to pander to the press however I do understand why he feels its necessary.

 

Why am I having a * laugh? Why shouldn't we be winning these cups against teams with a fraction of our budget? How * unambitious are you?

Also, connecting Celtic's good financial state solely to Lennon is a nonsense. That good financial state has been years in process. And we'd be long since zombied had it not been for Fergus McCann. A business man.

 

The treble has only happened twice in the last 20 odd years and, in each of those seasons it didn't happen, I'd wager it wasn't celtic who stopped rangers doing so or vice versa. Cup football is cup football anything can happen on the day.

We have no * given right to win a football match just because rangers are in a bad way just now.

 

I don't think anyone was saying Lennon was solely responsible for our good financial state at the minute. It would be idiotic to only think Lennon was the reason behind it. Just as it is idiotic to think that he has played no part in it, as you suggested earlier, by only giving the businessmen credit for it. The examples have already been given as to why Lennon played a part in it, so I won't go over them again, but surely you have to acknowledge that he has been a key figure over the past few years when it comes to the financial side of things.
