What city has the best skyline? For sheer uniqueness I think Shanghai is right up there. Almost looks like a cartoon city or something.

Call me biased but I think Toronto has one of the best in North America. They just passed Chicago as the continents fourth biggest city and are building more skyscrapers than any other city right now so the skyline will keep getting better.

Love Seattle with Mt. Hood as well.

Just looked at a few more pics of Auckland, actually a very nice looking city. Wouldn't mind visiting one day.

The front bit looks like its flooded rather than an actual river.

This thread (and messageboard layout) precisely reminds me of www.skyscrapercity.com.

    I love Toronto's skyline.

With One Bloor, Aura, L Tower, just to name a few, currently under construction, there's no question Toronto is in the middle of the one of the biggest booms in the city's history.

    It's exciting.

The skyline looks NOTHING like when I first moved here in Aug. '07.

Its pretty shallow there. The reason the colonists made the city there was they couldn't get there boats any further inland due to the rocks and rapids. The city actually boasts some of the best class 4 rapids in the USA.

The Parisian skyline is phenomenally beautiful!

I do not even want to imagine the bugs and mosquitoes they have to deal with, being so close to the water like that. :smiley-laughing002:

Growing up in the South, its really just a reality you learn to deal with. In the city, its actually not all that bad, but down in the parks where there's more foliage, it gets pretty brutal.

Aye, it's a real beaty. I have to go there again soon. What I always loved doing when visiting Paris or London is going by subway planlessly with my headphones on, just absorbing the atmosphere and checking out the lassies. In that sense, Paris is unbeatable.

Glasgow's skyline could have been totally ruined by Castle Greyskull. Thank * they moved their arena down the sewers so that their supporters wouldn't have to be exposed to daylight to see their team lose.
