On this day 10th February 1914 (100 years ago) Celtic were in Scottish Cup competition.
They were playing Clyde at Celtic Park and the attendance was 40,000.
The score was 2-0 with the legendary Patsy Gallacher scoring both goals.
The Celtic team that year went on to dispose of Forfar away 5-0, Motherwell away 3-1, Third Lanark away 2-0 and Hibs in a replay 4-1 after a 0-0 draw in the Final at Ipox
They won the Scottish League that year as well as Scottish Cup and the Glasgow Charity Cup which they won 6-0 against Third Lanark.

That's because we were 'fiddling the books and attendances' don't you know.
Even 100 years ago we were at it.

On this day in 2008 Barry Robson scored on his debut in a 5-1 win against Aberdeen.

On this day in 1894 Willie Maley played in a 5-1 win against St Mirren alongside players like James Kelly, Johnny Campbell and Sandy McMahon.

We played 10 games on this day between 1926 and 1996 and only won 2 of them. a 4-0 win against Duns in 1951, Jock Weir scored a double, Donald Weir scored one and Bertie Peacock got the other. The other was a 1-0 win against Motherwell in 1968 where the Lisbon Lions except John Hughes who scored the goal instead of Chalmers played.
