You dont get points for winning games in the early rounds. Only if you are eliminated. Eg, Celtic didn't get any ranking points for beating HJK or Helsingborg. We got about 16.8 in total. That was 4 for getting into the groups, 2 each for the victories (x3), one for the draw and another 4 for reaching the last 16. The rest was made up of the nation coefficient.

Its detailed on the right hand side of this page.

That's true. Clubs do get coefficient points in the qualifying stages for wins and draws, but those only count towards the nation coefficient and not the club coefficient).

The other four teams in Europe this season contributed a massive 0.3 points to the Scotland coefficient. :52:

    While contributed 4.

Its 2 Points for a Win and 1 for a draw - its halved for qualifying.

We got 1 points for the 3 groups wins and draw.Plus 4 for the 4 qualifying wins.

Comes straight out of the link you posted.

A few years ago Motherwell got by 2 rounds...It's team like Hearts who drew Tottenham/Liverpool we need to enter at the 1st round.

They do count toward the club coefficient.

Celtic picked up 20 points...9 for GS and last 16...7 for 3 GS wins and a draw and 4 for 4 qualifying wins.

In terms of our own coefficient, we got nothing for qualifying wins since we qualified for the group stages. Our 16.860 points came from:

7 points from the group (3 wins and 1 draw)
9 bonus points (4 for reaching the group stages and 5 for reaching the last 16)
    0.860 from country coefficient (20% of 4.300)

Our qualifying wins do count towards the country coefficient.

    Aye :50: my mistake.

Got confused looking at the other SPL teams points..but of course they got their's by getting beat in the qualifying rounds.

Cliftonville would suit me well. I'm planning on going to the away leg of the 3rd qualifying round as well. Wouldn't mind a nice sunny trip to the Balkans but no easy teams down there

Have to say I'm already getting excited/nervous about next seasons crack at the champions league.I do believe that if we can keep our main players until the end of the transfer market (last day in August) then I see no reason why we can't qualify for the group stages.

I do however think Lennon will need to make a signing or two just to give us that edge as I do think wanyama will be the only player away during these pivotal matches. The months of July/August will shape our whole season.

I fear a big firesale of our squad if we fall short of the group stages but I think we have a better chance than not to qualify.

I think Johnny Russell will be coming to Celtic park in the transfer window.
As for Forster i think he will be gone as well as Ambrose and Wanyama.
Of those 3 going i would want Ambrose to go most.

    Good man RoarBhoy.

The one good thing about having to start in the 2QR is that the season starts quicker! But whats happened to Scottish football when the champions are in the 2QR?

seriously is that our 1st game of the season on the 24th june

i hate when celtic arent playing but if we continue in this fashion there'd be no point in having a break in the season

as the players have got to be match fit and therefore have games before this tie whats the point in having a preseason

end season give the players 2 weeks off then back in training for the new season

    mental
