Reckon we should make this one big GAA thread, rather than a year by year deal. Anyway, draw for Ulster has been done:

    Reckon it'll be a Donegal - Armagh final. :icon_mrgreen:

Donegal are certainly in the easy half of the draw next year.

    No chance i wouldn't think.
Ulster teams are best with a more defense/physical minded game.

I don't really like the International rules.

But i'd imagine they would have Juvenille tickets for Croke Park ??

    Yep

    Concessions for Croke Park Fixtures

The GAA continues to offer the best value in sport and there are special concessions available for kids (16s or under), Senior Citizens and students of third level institutions.
‘16s or under’ can avail of €5 tickets in designated sections of the Cusack Stand and in the Davin Stand. ’16s or under’ tickets can not be purchased individually and the ticket holder must be accompanied by an * when attending any fixture.
Senior citizens and students with full price Cusack or Davin Stand tickets only can avail of concession rebates for fixtures in Croke Park. To claim the rebate you must present your full price Cusack or Davin Stand ticket and valid ID at the Block D turnstiles to rear of the Cusack Stand prior to entry to the stadium.

Cant get an * and a under16s ticket together. I do not want to send my 11 year old off on his own in Croke Park. People who want to bring younger children will have to fork out for * tickets if they want to sit with their children.

That's a typical scam of the GAA these days.
How i loathe giving them money. Much safer giving it to the local club but then the County council take 10% of their earnings as well.

On a positive note, the new International rules jerseys look sharp, albeit the 'Irish daily mail' sponsor is treacherous...

But yeah, the GAA are a bunch of knobs. They should be letting kids in for a pound.

    Nice one Joe

    http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/n...at-republican-club-name-critics-29671868.html

Leading GAA pundit Joe Brolly has suggested it is nobody else's business if gaelic clubs are named after dead republican paramilitaries.

Leading GAA pundit Joe Brolly has suggested it is nobody else's business if gaelic clubs are named after dead republican paramilitaries.

His remarks came amid the wider reaction to a speech by Stormont First Minister Peter Robinson commending the efforts by the GAA to help forge better community relations in Northern Ireland.
In the wake of Mr Robinson's address at a Co-operation Ireland dinner in Belfast last night, some unionists insisted the association still had much to do to improve relationships with their community, highlighting the specific issue of the naming of clubs and competitions after IRA and INLA members.

But former all-Ireland winner Mr Brolly, whose hometown club in Dungiven, Co Derry, is named after republican hunger striker Kevin Lynch, said the name issue was a "sideshow".
"It's nobody else's business - it's as simple as that," he said of the Dungiven club's name.
"People can either like it or lump it."
He told BBC Radio Ulster: "That's the way societies and communities work. Kevin played hurling for Dungiven and for Derry, and the hurling club was named for that reason. We're very proud of him."
Traditional Unionist Voice leader Jim Allister had been one of those who had raised the issue of club and trophy names following Mr Robinson's speech.
Mr Allister criticised Mr Brolly's stance.
"The remarks by Joe Brolly underscore just how foolish Peter Robinson was in attending last night's event and praising the GAA for supposedly reaching out across the divide," he said.

Not really very interested. Neither side sends their best players so its hard to get too into the games.

The GAA has done quite fine without Unionist help and ideas the past years,i wish more people in the GAA would take Brolly's approach.
