Lookin to find out the reason behind these numbers on the bottom of a bottle of Buckfast.

Ahv heard stories that the lower the number, the thinner the wine is and vice versa.:97:

Also heard that the first bottle poured from the barrel is number 1 and so on...:97:

Any light to be shed on this?

None of that is true, it is just the number of the mould that the bottle was made from.

I know the numbers correlate to the mould of the bottles, but I like the myths behind the numbers, so go with that.:56:

    Number 1's taste best. Fact.
I've only ever had two Number 1's, but I can safely say it was like drinking red, Buckfast-tasting golddust.

While we're here, any one ever done The Buckfast Challenge?:icon_mrgreen:
I've done it 3 times, 1st time about 25 seconds, 2nd time - 17 seconds (had a video on youtube but removed it. Still have it on my phone) and the 3rd time, 13 seconds!
I'm going to attempt to do it quicker than Usain Bolt can run 100m.:56: Me and my mates have called it "Beat The Bolt"

Its all to do with they way they come out the barrel,

    1 is first out

    40 last out

It makes a difference in taste, and the lower the number is the easier to drink :icon_mrgreen:

See the Russian boy necking a whole bottle of vodka (and the results of him doing it) in the related videos of that Bucky one. Crazy.
