I've been against him since day one.
What has he done to warrant being the national team manager?

I'd just like to add that the only available Scottish coaches I'd have picked ahead of him would have been Craig Levein and Kenny Dalglish.
His tactics against a really poor Macedonia team were shit. We should have been on top of them from the whistle and you could see 20 mins into the game that we didn't need a holding midfielder which happened to be Hartley. This proved to be the case in the 2nd half when we bombarded their goal and should have had a penalty when Commons replaced him.
I thought we were very lucky in Iceland as well. If we hadn't scored from a corner and Iceland had taken one of their 1st half chances, it would have been a different game. How we started that game without a striker I'll never know.
What I would say on his behalf so far is that he's getting a real raw deal off the papers in this country. They were gunning for him before a ball was kicked because we didn't win any friendlies when most of the Rangers players were pulling out plus we had several injuries meaning we had to play the likes of Gavin Rae.
Oh aye and there was no need for all the Lee McCulloch crap and the timing of his retirement leaking out was disgraceful.
The SFA also screwed things up by settling for a tough start in the heat of Macedonia when a home game against the same side or an Iceland would have been much more beneficial in our opening two games.
After all that I'm still for George Burley and I really hope it works out for us tomorrow against Norway a team which we should be beating tbh. But again losing Hutton, Ferguson, Thomson, Miller, McNaughton, Commons and McManus doesn't make life any easier.
Come on Scotland!!

I'll post what I posted in the match thread:
I hate how, half an hour after the game, most people seem to have recovered. Saying its alright, and we did good, and we all performed good. Well if we performed so good and we all did good, then we would have fucking won. it's not alright in my opinion.
People think we're always one game away from being a good team again, but somehow we always manage to fuck up.

Away to have dinner with the missus now - glad i've not been killed (yet) for my post. I felt it was almost a snub to him again..he must have been sitting on that bench frustrated as fuck. Thankfully, i don't see it happening again as i anticipate some harsh headlines tomorrow which should lead to a level of realisation; sadly it will come too late. Oh well, there's always Euro 2012 for us to once again pin our hopes upon!!
Always shall support my country, as i love watching them - a patriotic feeling that is only rarely found elsewhere. It's brilliant in the good times, but hideous in the bad. Just a fucking kick in the stones seeing decisions made that would disgust a cretin.
The sad thing is, i actually LIKE Burley - shows how bright i am.Thought he was the right man for the job, so no complaints there.

And again. If they were that good they would've won. But no, we're sitting with 4 points out of three easy games. I expected at least 7.
Exactly as in the title, same shit, different year.

Fair enough but I'd still be slating him like I did after Iceland where I think we got lucky. Playing McFadden up top on his own and having him run himself to death isn't the answer. Unless he learns quickly, he's got to go.
