Who knows, everyone is assuming AC Milan are going to steamroll over everyone and win it. Though they said that about Bayern Munich last time.

In the champions league = two.
In The uefa cup = two.
in every league, with the exceptions of small leagues, such as belarus, lithuania etc..
i just think its so unfair that teams like Liverpool are in the UCL every year, when they always finish 4th, after all, its the Champions League.

If it's the Champions League, should second place not go to the UEFA Cup?

Where would you draw the line on small Leagues & how many places would you give them?

the thing with so many teams from england is, your guaranteed an english winner now.
|
Not in the UEFA Cup!
In the CL, Spain & Italy have as many places but I understand where you're coming from.

True, true. Bayern did get to the SF though & I'd have put my house on them beating Rangers in the final, so sort of fell at the last hurdle.
Milan will win it if they take it seriously imo.

2nd placed team should probably yes, but simply for Entertainment reasons, i would keep 2nd placed teams, or else you wouldn't have teams like Chelsea, Villarreal and Barcelona ( most seasons ).

Good news, don't really like Portsmouth, if i was to choose an english team to win it, i would pick Aston Villa, their the best team in the Uefa from Britain.
Hopefully the rest of this game is a cracker, Think Portsmouth will win it though.

I wrote this in another thread a while ago.
I think the Champions from leagues 1-16 should be randomly drawn for the top two spots of each group. Meaning the champions of the Czech Republic and Greece would be just as likely to be 1-2 in a group as the champions from England and Spain. It isn't called the UEFA Coefficient League.
Before this there should be qualifying rounds of 2nd place teams and other lower champions (but no more than 3 teams per country) and play-offs of domestic cup winners, who would automatically go to the UEFA cup if they lost the play-off. The quality might not be great for a couple of years, but if teams like Olympiakos, the Prague teams, Copenhagen etc. get good champion's league money for a few years they will be able to compete with the big 4, I think. Then it would be a true Champions League.

Where can I nominate Diegan for UEFA President?
I think that's about as perfect as it could get.
