Yes mate , i agree with your point on the 4 teams , they are changing the format though ,starting in the season 2009-10. The biggest change is that there will be a group stage with 12 groups of 4 (in a double round robin) instead of 8 groups of 5.

Although it doesn't really affect the ( too many teams aspect ) at least they will play each other H and A , which I think is a bit fairer

sounds a bit fairer but the uefa cup has lost its appeal for me, you used to regularly have top teams in it while now even the manky mob can make the final

Dinamo Zagreb - Sparta Prague will be interesting, not the game, but fans. Sparta fans made a support transparent for Mladic and Karadzic in the beginning of the season in Czech Republic, i think there will be blood on both games.

Just watched Aston Villa win 3-1 away to Litex Lovech.

Litex were the better side for the first hour but ended up having two sent off & Villa scored a late goal.

Early in the second half Portsmouth get a penalty but Defoe has it saved. Defoe scores now though, on the hour mark to put Portsmouth 2 up. That's how it finishes, 2-0.

Man City dominating away to Omonia Nicosia, struck the post twice & their Brazilians Jo & Robinho have missed easy chances. Hart can't save a free kick & City go 1 down. Jo gets the equaliser on the hour mark. Jo gets a second as City take the lead. Full time, 2-1 to City.

Motherwell losing 1-0 in France to Nancy. Graeme Smith saves a penalty to keep it 1-0. Full time here as well, 0-1.

Had this argument with an everton fan recently when he said they used it first in 1975
