Scotland Squad

Can't believe Caddis didn't get a full call up especially with Hutton out injured.

The Scotland squad:
Craig Gordon (Sunderland), David Marshall (Norwich City), Allan McGregor (Rangers); Darren Barr (Falkirk), Christophe Berra (Heart of Midlothian), Gary Caldwell (Celtic), Callum Davidson (Preston North End), Stephen McManus (Celtic), Kevin McNaughton (Cardiff City), Gary Naysmith (Sheffield United), Steven Whittaker (Rangers); Scott Brown (Celtic), Kris Commons (Derby County), Darren Fletcher (Manchester United), Paul Hartley (Celtic), James Morrison (West Bromwich Albion), Gavin Rae (Cardiff City), Barry Robson (Celtic) , Kevin Thomson (Rangers); Kris Boyd (Rangers), David Clarkson (Motherwell), Steven Fletcher (Hibernian), James McFadden (Birmingham City), Kenny Miller (Rangers)

On the plus side the new strip looks great. More like old school tops.

The strikeforce of the Scotland team really worries me none of them give me major confidence.

Not seen the new top pics?

The spine of the team should be the Celtic guys and build a team around them!

That's what Burley more or less said to the media. He wants to build the team around Brown, McManus and Caldwell. He thinks these 3 will take us to the World Cup.

There's a pic in the Daily Record page 21. Couldn't get the picture from the link on the net.

BLUNDERING store bosses leaked snaps of the new Scotland strip days before the launch.
Fans grabbed a sneak peek at the home top after staff posted pics in a sports shop window.
Workers at the Edinburgh JJB store were ordered to remove the posters after footie chiefs were tipped off.
The Tartan Army had been desperately seeking clues about the design of the new Diadora strip, which is launched tomorrow.
Footsoldier Alan H, who spotted the picture in Straiton retail park, said: "It looks pretty naff."
An SFA spokesman admitted: "Someone inadvertently put these images out but they were taken down quickly."

I think David Clarksons Bergkamp esq goal against the Czech might see him come into the team, probably not tho. I would also rather Barr than Berra

Good point about lack of games but he's playing well at the moment and I'd give him some experience of being in the squad for this friendly. It won't be long till he breaks into the team anyway. Besides Burley's trying out a few new players for this one.

I'd tend to agree with flashback's point about Berra even though we're not blessed with good defenders.

My team with this squad would be...

........................Gordon

McNaughton...Caldwell..McManus...Naysmith

.........................Hartley

...............Brown.Fletcher.Robson

.............Miller...............McFadden
