Apparently we've agreed to the 3.8 figure and it is a choice between us and Hull for Fortune. It also says we are closer to getting Castillo and a guy named Fernando Marques.

He has never hidden his desire to work again with Tony Mowbray after a loan spell at West Bromwich Albion last season, but is also keen to land the best financial deal. "The clubs are talking and we are discussing everything," said Fortune's agent, Michael Manuello, yesterday.

"No deal has been struck yet but we're close. I'd expect a decision by the end of the week. Marc doesn't have to meet Tony Mowbray to know what it will be like to play for him at Celtic because he already knows the manager very well and trusts him.
"But he does have a choice to make. He has to weigh up all his options."
They're aiming to finalized this one before the end of the week apparently.

Marc-Antoine Fortune has a straight choice between Celtic and the Tigers.
Both teams have had £3.5m offers accepted by Nancy, and there has been reports the French star did not want to play in Scotland.
But the player's agent, Michael Manuello, told the Record: "It's a straightforward choice - Celtic or Hull City. We're in discussions with both over personal terms. I expect a decision by the end of the week.

This is going to come down to wages and bonuses, so we'll find out soon enough how far the board are willing to go to satisfy Mowbray's demands concerning new signings.

I'd still have rather seen us going for Simon Cox though.

I think he'll be a good player for us, not sure about the price tag though.

Could McDonald, Fortuné - with Sammy, Killen, Hutchinson and Sheridan as back-ups do it for us?

No. Not a natural finisher among them and Killen, Samaras+Sheridan aren't good enough.

i beg to differ mate,

Scott McDonald - Motherwell = scored total of 45 goals in 127

Celtic = At the end of his debut season at the club, Scott was crowned Scotland’s leading goalscorer with 31 goals from 52 appearances, including 25 league goals.

• Scott was the first Celtic player to net 20 league goals in a season since John Hartson hit 25 in 2004/05.

Scott finished the 2008/09 season as Celtic's top scorer with 19 goals. He hit his 50th goal for the club against Aberdeen.

Not to mention some of his CL goals agains teams like shaktar, AC Millan, Manchester United etc......

Think with these stats i would say he was a natural finisher......
