John Kennedy has revealed that his loan move to Norwich City may actually turn out to be a permanent one.
Kennedy’s career has stalled because of knees injuries and the 25-year-old has hinted that a move away from Celtic Park may be in his best interest, but the decision may ultimately be taken out of his hands.
“It’s going to be up to Celtic and Norwich but I’m enjoying my time here,” Kennedy said in the Daily Express. “At the end of the day Celtic isn’t where everything stops.
“You have to look at yourself and if it’s not going to be there, you have to move on and get your career back on track.
“But I think we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.”
Meanwhile, Shaun Maloney is the latest worry ahead of the first Old Firm game of the season.
Maloney limped out of training on Thursday with an ankle knock and is now facing a race against time to declare himself fit.
Gordon Strachan has both Scott McDonald and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink on the treatment table as well, so will be desperate for the former Aston Villa striker to recover.
The club are trying to keep the full extent of the injury quiet as they try to keep their city rivals guessing, but it is understood Maloney was in agony after the training ground collision.
