Kennedy loan may become permanent

John Kennedy has revealed that his loan move to Norwich City may actually turn out to be a permanent one.

Kennedy’s career has stalled because of knees injuries and the 25-year-old has hinted that a move away from Celtic Park may be in his best interest, but the decision may ultimately be taken out of his hands.
“It’s going to be up to Celtic and Norwich but I’m enjoying my time here,” Kennedy said in the Daily Express. “At the end of the day Celtic isn’t where everything stops.
“You have to look at yourself and if it’s not going to be there, you have to move on and get your career back on track.
“But I think we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.”

Meanwhile, Shaun Maloney is the latest worry ahead of the first Old Firm game of the season.
Maloney limped out of training on Thursday with an ankle knock and is now facing a race against time to declare himself fit.
Gordon Strachan has both Scott McDonald and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink on the treatment table as well, so will be desperate for the former Aston Villa striker to recover.

The club are trying to keep the full extent of the injury quiet as they try to keep their city rivals guessing, but it is understood Maloney was in agony after the training ground collision.

Kennedy has alot of potential and therefore shouldn't be allowed to go on the cheap IMO. Hopefully after a year of first team football he'll be back to close to his best and will fit in nicely back at Parkhead.

I agree kennedy still has a lot of potential which is why Celtic probably went the loan route. Having said that at some point Kennedy has to get back to full fitness and stay fit or we are better off selling him and moving on just like with Craig Beattie.

Well if he plays well for Norwich we can ask for a big price tag or we get back a better player and ultimately more fitter player if he gets injured again then thats the most worrying thing I think for his sake cos he seems a nice guy and hes worked hard to get back.

Depends how he does really wouldn't like to get rid of him but if there not much chance of him making it into are first team then it would be a good move for him.

I understand what you're saying, but if we can get him back to full fitness and give him the time to reach his potential then he could be a fantastic player for us The potential he showed before his injury proves that he shouldn't be allowed to leave easily as he could become an invaluable member of our team again

I'm, a big fan of Kennedy and he has a lot of potentil so i wouldn't let him go for under £1,000,000

I honestly dont think his knee will ever be the same. Its a shame because he could have been one of our greatest defenders. Better he goes now and tries to make a career as his Celtic career is over imo
