CELTIC are weighing up a s3million transfer window swoop for Hartlepool hitman James Brown.
Gordon Strachan ran the rule over the highly-rated 21-year-old last night as the League One outfit dumped Premier League West Brom out of the Carling Cup.
Cash is set to be freed up with defender Bobo Balde ready to join Birmingham today.
Celtic have been tracking Brown, rated one of the hottest properties in English football, for some time although the youngster turned in a subdued performance at Victoria Park in front of the Parkhead boss

Probably not, £3m seems a bit hefty as well. Id rather have someone like Steven Fletcher tbh, or spend £3m on a quality LB

i'll go crazy if we sign him, he's out of sight, i got the feeling he could bring the fans out in a cold sweat, hopefully money wont change him and he can get on up and turn it loose but its most likely the papers talking loud and saying nothing.
