Ok, I know what you're thinking. He apparently is out of favor in Liverpool and wants to play first team football. The link seems to be more of speculation surrounding yet another Irishman, but I'm curious as to what everyone's opinions of him are. He has recently agreed to play for Trappatoni and the international squad for the WC qualifiers.

Good player must be to play for Liverpool for number of years he has, they rate him highly down there, my concern would be his age (what is it to retire from Internation duty then come back must be 30s at least) and his wage, I would also not like to see Paul Caddis pushed further down the pecking order.

I agree with you guys. I'd love to see caddis get his deserved start and for us to focus on a LB for once.

I think he'd be an ok signing. Hinkel has been awful so far and i wouldn't play caddis at right back cos i think he'll be a cracking right winger - Really hope he'll be given a chance there cos i think if he's played at fullback he'll be being played out of position. Also Finnan could slot in at left back so overall think he could be useful addition to squad.

He's good but far too old. We need to look to developing young talent - not bringing in old hands who are expensive anyway.

Yeah your right mate.... but personally speaking i think we need an experienced LB and for us to get further and improve on the european front we need to start at the back and get experience in then as we are doing that bring on younger guys so they can then step into the team and do a job. and Hinkle is terrible so will need to get a new rb too and keep caddis as a winger
