I'm not saying Tamas would of done well what i'm saying is that he would have been signed to go straight into the first team, which is what i was hoping for. The signing of Loovens would not, i think, change what WGS's first choice team would be.
We have to remember that WGS obviously rates Tamas higher than Loovens as he spent the best part of a month trying to sign him, then tried to sign Basa, and now maybe Loovens.
What i want to see this summer is at least one player signed who will automatically go into the first team. Therefore strengthening the team on the park, week in week out, not adding depth incase of injury.
Does anyone here think that Loovens will go straight into the team?

WGS doesn't do the signing. thats Lawwell's job. you mean Lawwell was negotiating for a deal with Tamas for a month. yet, we still don't know how high up he was on WGS wish list.
with a price tag of £2.5m who is to say he won't walk into the team? you don't know his ability and as for European experience, he was at his home club Feyenoord giving him some knowledge of playing on mainland Europe and they may of had a European campaign when he was there.

I think Lawell might just be ripping the pish out of the Huns.
each offer they bid we could just top it up by a few hundred grand.
Even if Cardiff agreed a price with us say 3 million quid, we could withdraw the offer, and CArdiff would demand the Huns match the offer.
This is great fun, taking the piss out of the Loyal Cardigan and Minty

He doesn't do the negotiations but he does say "this is the player i want". He said he wanted Tamas and he wanted him enough to have Lawwell pursue him for a month.
As for European experience, i don't call 20 odd games over 5 years a huge amount of experience.
Anyway, you haven't answered my question which is "do you think if we signed him he'd go straight into the first team?". As at the moment i want us to be concentrating on first team players, not back-up.

Walesonline says the deal is seal.
Hope they're wrong about that.

Haven't seen any of him to judge so gonna have faith in the board that he's good. I remember we were linked to Turner at Hull a year ago and everyone said "Pfft, Hull who are they? and how good can he be?" and now Hull are in the Prem and most pundits are saying he was one of the main reasons and reckon he's going to star in the Prem.
I'm just saying don't jump the gun just cause he's a Championship player specially if you haven't seen him play.
