He has really impressed me in pre season, comitted to the cause as he always is, but £7m for a 30 year old is alot of money, and it has to be considered,.
oh i agree with you, 7millin for a 30 year old is magic money. But for a strike like JVOH outwith the EPL I'd be very reluctant to accept it, we could not replace this guy based onour income so we have to refuse this offer surely.

Thats what i was kind of saying - the money here is defo a tempter. But is there someone out there that we can get to replace him as good available by the close of window?

The great thing is guys that we CAN knock back 7m for a 30 year old who is not the be all and end all of the club.

Totally agree, if we could get a younger international inn, dont know who , maybe that Argentina guy from Bordeaux. i would take the £7m but if we cant of course you dont sell him.

Thats just my opinion, cause next summer if that story is true, there is no danger we will get £7m for a 31 year old. And am sure Big jan is in the final year of his contract as well. its alot of money for a guy in his final year.

and like hoopy says too, if we can defo get someone young and very good in then it should be a case ov ...cheers big guy! enjoy your time wi HSV!

I think I would rather Big Jan TBH as his team influence and vital goals are gonna be worth more than 7 million to us this season (I hope).

But if there was to be some kind of swap for one of their players say umm Kompany...................

ad keep him, he's had a fantastic pre-season and he score's vital goals i.e 92nd minute goals against huns, title winnning goals i think we should keep the big man personally, although 7mill would get mr lawell thinking.

we might end up swapping him for that left back we were interested in.

i would swap Mohamed Zidan with him, if we were to do such a thing.

Jan is more valuable than a lot of people think. NAME me a better targetman in the U.K. other than Drogba and Adebayor.

There's no point in discussing "will they, won't they" sell jan for £7m. If that offer came in, big Jan would be on the first easyjet out of glasgow.

As for a replacement, I'm sure celtic keep tabs on players in all departments and with £7m to play with would be able to find 1 very quickly.

If we used the money to replace him with another top class striker i'd be very happy, we've been linked with Cavenaghi and Frei. Either of these two players would be excellent for Celtic. Cavenaghi is about five years younger but i think Frei would take us to another level.
