Celtic in pole-position for Icelandic 'wonderkid'

Reports from Iceland suggest that Celtic and a host of other clubs are chasing the signature of 15 year old winger Ingolfur Sigurdsson.
The Celts are said to be in pole position to sign him despite serious interest from clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona.
According to the Icelandic Channel 2 Celtic have already spoken extensively with the boys parents and have received a great deal of encouragement. Chelsea's chief scout and director of youth development Frank Arnesen has also made the trip to Iceland to run the rule over the youngster and to talk to his parents.

Well located Christian- good skills...
If Arnesen has been to see him, he must be one helluva prospect.

Reminds me of a (VERY) young Ronaldo - loads of nice touches, fleet of foot... still a lot to learn though - unsurprising bearing in mind the age.

When he DOES pass the ball (rarely) he actually looks a load better!

Cheers for the videos bud - good skills once again.

looks a great prospect. can't see us getting him tbh when Chelsea are just lagging behind us. they will pull out all the stops. he would have more chance of success in getting into a first team here than Chelsea. lets just see if he has a ambitious head on him.

would this not be the 3rd icelandic kid celtic have went after, might be off puttin for the boy considering the other 2 never got games (well maybe odd sub appearance for bjarnson) and were sold on to norweigan/icelandic teams

Who was the other one? Kjartan Henry? The striker guy?

Either way, i see your point, but on the other hand he'd be less inclined in that case to go to a Chelsea or Man U where the squad strength is so much stronger (Fletcher can't get a fucking game). Plus our youth training is renowned, so i would hope we would still be in pole position.
