McGhee ends interest in Kennedy

Motherwell manager Mark McGhee has told Setanta Sports that a deal to bring Celtic's John Kennedy to the club is now off.
The Scotland international is some way down the pecking order with the Clydesdale Bank SPL Champions and has been linked with a move away.
McGhee is a known admirer of the centre-back and was eager to recruit him for the coming season, but a negotiations with Celtic have now been brought to a halt.
"Celtic were insistent on a deal that my board feel was too rich for Motherwell," McGhee revealed to Setanta Sports.
"It is very disappointing for me as it looks like he is going to go elsewhere."
McGhee believes that another club will now come in and sign the defender on a short-term loan deal.

I read that Celtic wanted Motherwell to pay all his wages but Motherwell couldnt afford to do that so McGhee has tried to comprimise with Celtic so we can pay some of his wages, but dont think that'll happen. Looks like Norwich can afford the wages and he'll be going there for the start of the season

I just read on Setanta sports news that the big man has joined Norwich on loan.
Good move for him,hope he gets a full season under his belt and comes back up to us injury free and showing the kind of displays he did before that Romanian thug done him.

Again good work by Celtic. Norwich will be a good spot for Kennedy to go out and get games under his belt and show he has a future at Celtic. While financially if that is true that Motherwell couldn't afford to pay his wages then good deal for us we send him somewhere they can afford his wages.

its a good idea if he gets a game like, we needed to see him in the rough and tumble of the SPL imo, but if he gets a game at Norwich then good piece of business by Celtic

I heard he never went to Motherwell as they are due to sue Celtic because Chris McCart had youth players "following" him to our youth setup
